25.01.2022 Teamwork > Competition As things begin to reopen, (including IFP!) we all have to remember what it's like to work together. Which means:... Not giving in to comparison. Not getting distracted from your purpose. Showing up fully so others know that they can show up as well! Because when we raise ourselves higher, we help those around us.

25.01.2022 Working with a personal trainer like Steve gives you another voice to follow besides relying on your own knowledge and motivation. We all use personal reference points to set goals, evaluate ourselves, and experience the world. When we look outside ourselves we discover a new energy sources that keeps us going when we've reached the end of our own abilities. A patient, encouraging voice when your own is discouraging.... We'd love to be that voice for you and help you discover a whole new level of health and fulfilment. Just send us a message to join the #IFPSQUAD! See more

22.01.2022 We're all fighting our own battles. What's easy for some is difficult for others. We know it is hard not to get caught up in comparison but in the end, we're all fighting these battles together, side by side. 21.01.2022 True at the beginning of 2020 and still true today. Don't give up. Great things take time.

21.01.2022 Who else misses coach Em like we do? She has been kind enough to share her pre-run routine that makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE! This simple Banded Birddog movement is great for:... Strengthening rotary stability through your core. Challenging you to keep the spine controlled while your hips move with the leg extension. Try this before your next run to set your body up for success!

20.01.2022 WE ARE BACK!! 1:1 & 1:2 OUTDOOR PERSONAL TRAINING HAS STARTED!! If you are interested, please email us at [email protected] for more details.

19.01.2022 You can't expect to be at your best if you're not supporting your mind. This is super important when it comes to nutrition because what you put into your body doesn't just fuel your movement , it also impacts your brain . Here are a few of our favourite foods to incorporate into our diet because they are rich in complex carbohydrates, vitamins, healthy fats, and protein (Oh, and they benefit our bodies by): - Decreasing inflammation directly related to anxie...ty - Boosting energy levels throughout the day - Building and protecting cells in the nervous system - Supporting a healthy gut so it produces the right levels of serotonin #InfiniteFitnessPeninsula #MentalHealth

18.01.2022 PRO TIP: If you're the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong room. Growth requires you to get out of your comfort zone and surround yourself with people who challenge you towards progress. It means finding a diverse community with mixed levels of experience so you always have someone to look to for guidance.... Basically, if you're running alone, you probably won't get very far! #DoNotStop #ChallengeYourself #IFPSQUAD

18.01.2022 Our lives change every time we get to be a part of your journey, and we would truly love to know what has been the biggest change you've seen in yourself since starting at #InfiniteFitnessPeninsula? Big or small, progress IS progress! #Support #ProgressNotPerfection

18.01.2022 Although it may be tempting to workout 24/7, the idea of a balanced lifestyle is more than just trendy hype. If you are looking to gain muscle, improve cardiovascular health or boost your endurance, try these 5 tips: Get enough sleep If you're not resting, your muscles aren't building mass or repairing themselves nearly as well!... Hydrate The benefits of staying hydrated aren't just a plus in life, they support essential functions needed to live. This includes processing proteins and cleansing our system of toxins. Refuel with good nutrition Consuming the right nutrients is essential but especially if you live an active lifestyle! Your body builds cells and requires certain proteins, carbohydrates, fats, and micronutrients to support movement. Active recovery If you're taking a rest day, the best thing for your body is to keep fresh blood circulating which could mean taking a walk or practicing a gentle yoga flow. Infrared sauna Again it's ALL ABOUT blood circulation within the body. The heat from an infrared sauna encourages blood flow while relaxing strained muscles (Pro Tip: Stay hydrated after a sauna session). Your body does a very good job at building muscle and improving bodily functions when you're not being active, so don't forget to put as much effort into your recovery as you do into trying to reach new PR's!

17.01.2022 You don't need to do 1,500 burpees at once () like Steve did to know that proper form is ESSENTIAL! This is especially true if you want to unlock the complete benefits of this full-body workout that serves as both a cardio exercise and a fantastic way to build muscle. But, what does a proper burpee look like? Learn from the master as Steve demonstrates how to do this iconic move!... #InfiniteFitnessPeninsula #Burpees #Tutorial

17.01.2022 You're scared of carbs but you need 'em, we promise! Carbohydrates are the body's go-to energy source that are quick and easy to breakdown. If you're not eating enough carbs, you might experience fatigue, trouble losing weight, and even BAD BREATH! ... Porridge is a great source of healthy carbs because it also contains fibre. Carbs made of fibre provide more controlled energy and overall health benefits. Because it's made from grain , it has loads of vitamins & minerals including a ton of IRON. Another nutrient that causes fatigue when you don't get enough!

16.01.2022 It's more than just a workout. It's the chance to prove to yourself that you can do anything you set your mind to! Send us a DM to start working out with us and the #IFPSQUAD!

16.01.2022 Boosting your metabolic rate goes far beyond heart-pumping cardio so if you want to burn more calories, try these: 1. Lift weights This is because muscles require more calories, which means they burn more from exercising and while resting. More muscle mass = more calories burned!... 2. Drink water Studies have shown that a cold glass of H2O can temporarily boost your metabolism for up to 1 hour. 3. Have a caffeine hit Not only does this support fat loss, caffeine increases the amount of calories being burned within your body. 4. Get enough sleep Because running on empty causes you to burn fewer calories while making you feel more hungry and less satisfied after meals. 5. LOTS of protein! While more calories are required to process any food, you need even more to process proteins. This will also lead to feeling more full while being less likely to overeat. 6. Meditate Your body responds to everything going on in your mind which means high stress levels can negatively affect your metabolism. Taking care of your mental health is taking care of your physical health. If all of this feels a little overwhelming, don't worry! You don't have to do it alone. Send us a message to find out how YOU can join the #IFPSQUAD.

16.01.2022 Stop whatever you're doing because we have a challenge for you! The first letter of your name = your exercise Your birth month = the number of reps... Good luck to all of the Sarah's out there who were born in April. And remember: when every method of movement counts, it doesn't matter when or where you do it - just get it done! #TagAMate below who needs a little exercise motivation.

15.01.2022 Fitness is empowering because it changes how people see themselves. 15.01.2022 Research shows that working out with other people: - Makes you feel more motivated - Improves performance - Increases your overall amount of exercise ... 15.01.2022 How does Ben stay positive when things start to get a little overwhelming? Check out his tips below We live in an ever-increasing frenetic world, and we're constantly on edge about how to create the best path through life. Whether that's because of our inherent protection mechanisms, it seems our brains' default settings are automatically flicked to the negative side of a situation when challenged. Although sometimes it's easier said than done, our job is to flic...k that switch back over and realise the positive of it all. If you want to know a few more of Ben's tips, click here: https://bit.ly/35QKEqO

14.01.2022 Training your body also means training your mind and you need the right fuel for both. We love this Blueberry & Acai Smoothie recipe because it contains healthy fats, complex carbs, antioxidants, fiber, and FLAVOUR! Because what you eat directly impacts your mental clarity, energy levels, and ability to thrive, do your body a favour and try this yummy snack after your next training session. ... #SmoothieIdeas #FuelYourFitness

14.01.2022 In case you missed it, IFP is still going strong with online fitness programs during lockdown! We're not gonna let this hold us back from progress and you don't have to either! Send us a private message to join the #IFPSQUAD!

13.01.2022 IFP's thought for the day... If you want something you’ve never had, you’ll have to do something you’ve never done. Don’t expect things to change if you’re doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Some of the smartest people in the world attribute this behaviour to being insane... ‘’If you have a body, we can help you’’ Are you ready to start doing things differently? Try beginning each day with positive words like these from Ben's blog: www.ifp.com.au/bens-blog #InfiniteFitnessPeninsula #ThoughtForTheDay #Blog

09.01.2022 Hand sanitiser and masks protect our bodies on the outside but what can we do to support our immune system from the inside? Like almost anything in fitness, it all starts with nutrition! So if you're trying to do your part to stay healthy, try incorporating these foods into your diet... Almonds - Chock-full of vitamin E which is a powerful antioxidant... Citrus fruits - Infamous for containing large amounts of vitamin C Poultry - A fantastic source of vitamin B-6 to support proper bodily functions Shellfish - Notorious for containing high levels of zinc which supports immunity Sunflower Seeds - These small but mighty morsels provide essential minerals like phosphorous and selenium Ginger - A great anti-inflammatory Not only do these foods support your immune system, they're also outright delicious!

08.01.2022 Stop overthinking your snacks in the quest for protein. It's simple: Creamy sunflower seed butter with 6 grams of protein per serving AND super hydrating celery sticks. But don't run to the store for a jar of sunflower seed butter because it's super easy to make and cost-effective. Just soak the raw seeds overnight, drain, rinse, and blend with water and salt. That's it. Enjoy! ... Thanks to Erin Bosanquet - Nutritionist for the recipe.

08.01.2022 Our trainers know that living a healthy life is more than just exercise, which is why we love this gorgeous plate from Em because she knows the power of macro and micro nutrients. "Macronutrients are the nutrients we require in larger amounts to provide energy, carbohydrates, fats and proteins. These make up your daily calorie intake. Micronutrients are the smaller molecules that are essential to our health such as vitamins and minerals. Essential micronutrients are those... that we cannot manufacture within our body (mostly provided from our diet) but still require for basic function. It’s no secret your body needs calories to survive and provide energy but the source of those calories is just as important. Micronutrients have various roles in multiple body systems and how they function. The amount of micros you gain from your diet directly impact immune function, bone health, brain function, infant health through pregnancy and breast feeding, growth, regeneration of cells and much more! Whilst counting calories and your macros is a useful tool for body composition (weight loss, fat loss, muscle gain ), the source of your calories and the amount of micronutrients they provide is equally as important. The most nutrient dense foods are those that are unprocessed such as: vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans nuts and seeds, lean sources of protein and food prepared with little or no added sugar, saturated fats and sodium. *PS - this is not to say you can’t have a donut or a glass of wine every and then, but rather to make sure majority of your diet contains nutrient dense foods."

08.01.2022 How do YOU define success? Is it committing to a workout schedule for the week, or maybe scheduling time for meditation every day? Whatever it is, just remember that greatness comes from mastering the mundane. It may seem like you're only taking small steps but give it some time, and you'll have travelled far enough to look back on the incredible amount of progress you've made!... #Motivation #MasterTheMundane #MarathonNotASprint

05.01.2022 If we're not a little bit scared of a hit from you after a few months at IFP then we're not doing something right. #FunFitness #PunchItOut

04.01.2022 We know an apple a day is supposed to keep the doctor away, but we think it's time bananas got their moment in the spotlight! Besides being everyone's favourite on-the-go snack, bananas benefit your body in a variety of ways: Help moderate blood sugar levels... Great source of easily digested carbohydrates High in fibre Abundant in vitamin B6 and potassium May prevent anaemia due to high levels of iron What does that all mean? Bananas are a great source of unprocessed carbohydrates that provide your body with energy in addition to nutrients that support your muscles. This makes them a great pre or post-workout snack! Try adding them to your next protein shake and BINGO - you've got the perfect recovery food. #Bananas #HealthySnackIdeas
