The project was an adaptive reuse of an existing heritage building, which had been operating as a sports club into an A Grade, CBD office and retail space.... This project presented multiple challenges due to the heritage adaptation component and meeting building code compliance after years of non-compliant construction. The building is built around a central landscaped courtyard and includes a Ritek wall preformed system, with an external face brickwork finish. The prefabricated POD bathrooms were delivered to site completed and craned into position. The PODs guarantee significant time and costs savings and also reduce on site defects as they are constructed in a controlled environment.... The base building construction included the installation of a car stacking parking solution on the ground floor and feature timber grandstand connecting level 2 and level 3. It was a large isolated building with challenging fire and engineering solutions given the large voids and cl...ients desire to improve natural light and aesthetics. 01.01.2022 PROJECT UPDATE | Judith Neilson’s Institute of Journalism and Ideas One of our favourite things at Infinity Constructions is to deliver an amazing project for our Clients and that is no exception for the Judith Neilson Institute for Journalism and Ideas. It is starting to come to life with some beautiful finishes including;... - Lecture room with a class 5 set curved ceiling, 12mm brass windows and 3.6 x 2.2m, high resolution LED Wall. - 12mm thick brass plate shopfront. - Floor to wall natural granite stone throughout bathrooms with basins being produced from a single solid piece of granite, carved to suit. - Level 2 and 3 joinery completed in American Oak veneer. - Installation of 25mm thick curved glazing on the south east corner of the building - Custom made Italian curved bricks to south and east facade. - Bespoke custom designed brass garage door, weighing a total of 1.3 ton - Combination of solid bronze plate and brass paneling to awning structure on corner of Myrtle and Abercrombie Street. - Heritage lift motor from original lift installed as a feature at the main entrance.
