06.01.2022 UPDATE UNTREATED BORE WATER BEING SOLD TO TAMBORINE AND SURROUNDS RESIDENTS AS PORTABLE DRINKING WATER The Saga continues to stop the network of water carriers and water supplier’s selling Untreated raw bore water as drinking to residents of the scenic rim under the lie of SPRING WATER. After nearly the better part of two years now lobbying Scenic Rim Council DRNME and department of health this situation keep going around in circles.... It doesn’t help that the water suppliers and carriers keep lying about what they are doing to the relevant government departments and council but this has been going on for 20 years now unchecked. Council says its Department of natural resources and mines jurisdiction and will not investigate carriers unless individual complaints are made under the food act. What is clear is that it is highly illegal under the Food Act to sell bore water as drinking water whether the supplier is lying to the carriers that it is registered as a bulk drinking water supplier or the carriers are lying to the residents. Either way this needs to be sorted out and is best done by contacting council and department of health if you believe you have been sold this SPRING WATER untreated bore water as drinking water in around the Tamborine area. Also to be noted the supplier only became registered as a bulk raw water supplier this year yet has been supplying water to residents for the last 20 years. This registration occurred during them being investigated for selling drinking water as an unregistered water service provider.
