25.01.2022 Scenes from Richards Bay South Africa. Game parks Rhinos, elephants, zebras, buffalo, giraffes, hippos, crocs, vultures and dung beetles. Zulu dancing, bokdrol spoeg (impala poo spitting), and awesome friendly locals. Next stop Durban to avoid bad weather before heading to Capetown in a few days

21.01.2022 Posting this message as Sid and Matt on Influencer Dufour 56 passes from the Eastern to the Western Hemisphere in the South Atlantic Ocean en route to St Helena Island. Our current position at 18 degrees 35 minutes South 000 degrees 00 minutes has us enjoying magnificent trade wind sailing with full moon, starry night and gentle rolling seas. Meanwhile - a quick peek at Grenada we have managed between boat jobs!! The Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park is fascinating and fun at the same time. Created in 2006 its a must do here now! Great Anse beach is not too shabby either - and Georgetown looking good from the water! 19.01.2022 Hello Facebook friends from just off the south coast of Madagascar en route to Richards Bay South Africa from Reunion Island. Highlights so far, calm winds to start with lots of motoring followed by spectacular thunderstorms heavy rain and sheet lightning and navigating amongst the busy shipping lane. Now enjoying strong easterly winds as we continue to head west. We are now preparing for strong winds for a couple of days from the south as we pop out in to the Mozambique Channel.

08.01.2022 Happy Anniversary Influencer Sailing Adventures. Today 12 months we ago we sailed out of Sydney Heads for our circumnavigation crossing the Indian and South Atlantic Oceans. Once the Hurricane threat has passed in the North Atlantic our Dufour 56 will prepare for the Pacific Ocean crossing no doubt stopping off at some pretty cool spots along the way.

06.01.2022 For the past few weeks we have sailed from St Vincent to St Christopher and many beautiful places in between. Including Martinique, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Montserrat and Nevis. All amazingly beautiful yet at one time destroyed by Hurricanes or Volcanic eruptions. Yet the locals remain strong and resilient.

We understand your need to knock us around with gale after gale and mountainous seas for most of our 2350 nautical mile crossing from Cocos Islands. We are deeply humbled. Jenny, Sid, Rob and Matt. 03.01.2022 Short pit stop in Namibia for Team Influencer and four other yachts to climb sand dunes, visit incredible moonscape, admire the black scorpions, have lunch in the desert and enjoy the hospitality of Walvis Bay Yacht Club. Tomorrow onwards to St Helena Island for Whale Sharks and Napoleons home in exile.
