22.01.2022 Marketing effectively during tough times requires a more targeted approach. Targetted, customised email marketing is proving to have an ongoing high ROI when compared to other common digital marketing techniques, which is logical given many of us have more time to spend opening & reading emails during Covid-19. #marketing #emailmarketingtips #marketingconsultant
22.01.2022 One-size fits all is NOT the case with Social Media. Choosing the right platform/s for your brand takes some knowledge and research into where your customers (current and future) spend time. As a snapshot... "Instagram and Snapchat, for example, have more young users. LinkedIn, for many people, is a tool for professional networking and job searches. The majority of users on Pinterest are women, while Tumblr appeals to social bloggers."...

21.01.2022 Thanks for the Review Zoe! I have loved working on this horse brand Missy's Bucket. 19.01.2022 Could LinkedIn really be the unicorn for your business marketing? Business Owners that I speak with often dont consider LinkedIn as a serious part of their social strategy. Particularly businesses in the B2C space, Facebook and Instagram are most commonly linked to their preferred social strategy. But consider some of the stats: There are 260 million active users on LinkedIn More than 40 million users are in decision-making positions... More than 61 million are senior-level influencers In other words, LinkedIn provides tremendous opportunity to connect with individuals who are in a position to form a strategic partnership, stock your product or invest in your business. #marketing #linkedin #socialstrategy https://smallbiztrends.com/20//linkedin-b2c-marketing.html

13.01.2022 This is such a positive marketing story... big business married with global environmental challenges. Imagine a future where global businesses use all their wealth and influence to proactively work towards improving our environment (and future) rather than being a major part of the problem. https://www.cnbc.com//adidas-sold-1-million-shoes-made-out
13.01.2022 It's true, I speak to a lot of SME business owners who are finding their business marketing stressful and challenging. A common feeling is that technology is changing too quickly for them to keep up when this is not their area of interest. This is particularly true when said owner may not see their primary 'skill set' within the marketing space. Interesting stat however in this research "In 2018 more than 79% of respondents who spent 5 to 10 hours per week on marketing repor...ted revenue growth. For those who spent less than five hours per week, the number goes down to 52%." My Tips: 1. Spend your time wisely! Make a Marketing Strategy to ensure your marketing is focused in the right areas. 2. Try to set some Goals or KPIs that are measurable. This is particularly true if you have limited time to spend. 3. Schedule some time each week, as you would any meeting, to carry out your essential marketing activities This survey was carried out on a group of 350 small and medium business owners in Feb 2019. https://smallbiztrends.com//2019-small-business-marketing-

11.01.2022 What are the most effective ways to use content to drive traffic to your website? Digital content is created for a range of reasons, and if your major goal from your content is to drive traffic to your website, then it is worth considering what are the most successful content formats for achieving this: Long format blogs (at least 1000 words)... How-to articles Video content Graphic content (think infographic or beautiful imagery) Templates, checklists & guides Interview with Influencers Pic for effect - Beautiful workspace - We Work Sony Centre #marketing #digitalcontent #drivetraffictowebsite

08.01.2022 Click For Vic is a fantastic initiative to support small Victorian businesses, and give people an opportunity to shop local. 07.01.2022 This research is based in America, but still, it makes for an interesting read. None of it is too surprising. The top line is: 1. Small businesses are being left behind when it comes to digital marketing... 2. Social media is holding strong in 2019 3. Almost half of small business owners will not spend more on marketing in 2019 4. Lack of time and resources continues to hinder small business owners 5. Gaining and keeping customers is the top goal for 2019 https://keap.com//marketi/digital-marketing/trends-report
06.01.2022 Mailchimp is the email platform of choice for many small businesses. 06.01.2022 Much is committed by businesses into ensuring their online real estate is in great shape, but your personal profile from a business perspective is also really important. I have recently had the pleasure of working on updating the online profile for Peter McMullin, that has included an integrated approach to his Wiki profile, creating a website, Facebook and LinkedIn. http://www.petermcmullin.com.au/

04.01.2022 Lovely to get this feedback from Meg Emond Meg is a local real estate agent who has just started with Belle Property. We worked together as she wanted some advice on how she could best use social media to differentiate herself, helping her to stand out in the crowded real estate market.
04.01.2022 If this research is accurate it is pretty HUGE for brands! 79% of online retail sales being completed via smartphones by 2021 companies need to be preparing their marketing strategy to incorporate peoples increased use of mobile.
04.01.2022 SMBs really need to make every single penny count when to their marketing spend, this is as relevant for how they choose to spend their marketing budget as much as making sure what they do choose to do is done well! For example in a HubSpot survey it was found that 33% of email recipients decide whether or not to open an email based on subject line alone (HubSpot, 2016)! Find out more about this here..
04.01.2022 Mailchimp adding a CRM to their platform is a game changer for small business. So many business already use this platform for their email marketing, this added functionality should dramatically help small businesses better manage and service their customers and leads. https://www.forbes.com//on-crm-mailchimp-is-introducing-/
03.01.2022 Facebook Advertisers need to be on their game, as Facebook is again making changes. Beginning April 30 Facebook is phasing out the Relevance Score for ads but replacing it with 3 new relevancy metrics. - Quality Ranking - Engagement Rate Ranking, and ... - Conversion Rate Ranking. These new metrics should be great for those of us that Manage Facebook Ads as they will give a more focused view on the effectiveness of our ads, shining a light on where changes may be needed to improve the ROI. https://marketingland.com/facebook-to-replace-relevance-sco
03.01.2022 I work with a range of small/medium businesses developing the key marketing strategies that will allow them to successfully build their business. There is a reoccurring conversation that I have with most businesses around their website that is well summed by by the team at Duct Tape Marketing... Your website is the heart of your online marketing efforts. All other channels should drive users back to your website, so its critical that you build the most effective one that you can. Good website design is way bigger than just building a site that looks appealing. Truly effective website design is about the substance underlying the style. #marketing #marketingstrategy

03.01.2022 Deciding exactly how to spend your precious marketing budget can be a great starting point for really drilling down into what your business priorities and strategies should be. It is often helpful to consider (not copy) what your competitors are doing, but a personal favourite of mine is to research and identify a parallel product or industry and review what marketing activities they are engaging in. Making a Marketing Plan is a great way to avoid the pitfalls of over-spending or wasting your Marketing budget.

02.01.2022 Being a Melbournian at the moment, partway through this Stage 4 lockdown, is a little challenging. There are many stories of hardship and sadness, which can become overwhelming. But equally, there are some truly enlightening stories about reinvention, resilience and recovery. Last night I watched an uplifting story about an amazing local Rainbow artist Belinda Eckermann who has painted incredible images on the local tree trunks so people have something interesting to look at... whilst out walking. Such a lovely idea. Such a thoughtful contribution to the community. https://www.theislanderonline.com.au//the-tree-trunk-cre/ #community

01.01.2022 Loved getting this feedback from a recent client Lauren Village Family Lawyers Working with young, growing businesses such as this is so satisfying.
01.01.2022 Shopify is a giant of eCommerce. MailChimp is a giant of email marketing. Over the weekend they officially broke up! Together these platforms were convenient. That made it so easy to set up and offered outstanding email marketing solutions to businesses running eCommerce stores at a reasonable price. But MailChimp this weekend emailed all their affected customers, announced their official break-up date. This will be hugely disruptive for many business owners as they specific...ally appeal to those with limited marketing understanding or technical skills to develop workarounds or alternative solutions. Fortunately, there are some integrations that can be made to still use the two platforms, with 3rd parties acting as the intermediaries. There are also some alternatives to platforms that offer similar solutions to Mailchimp. Which you choose and what I am doing to clients very much depends on their budget and the marketing plans. #marketing #mailchimp https://mailchimp.com/shopify-statement/
