24.01.2022 Its hard to believe that its 25 years since Lisa and I came back to Australia (from Portugal) and established Inform Connection. One of the first things we did was to create our logo using our favourite colors (orange for me , purple for Lisa) and the image we wanted was a unisex person (and now 25 years later it is a gender free person!). We made a commitment right from the start that our business would always be focussed on the person now called the end-user! We basically... want our customers to get the levels of service and products that we like and I think we have been true to this from day one. The Inform Tournament Circuit in Victoria was very focussed on the squash players particularly our Junior Graded Circuit. At times it put us at odds with the associations and some court owners but we were happy to tolerate some short term pain to provide the service we wanted. As a result of focussing on people we have met and formed friendships with some amazing people. When I go to the Australian Masters Championships each year I often have to remind myself that I have work to do because I am having such a great time catching up with friends!! We have Brand Ambassadors in every corner of Australia and many of them have been with us for 20 years. Again they are now friends and over 25 years we have shared every experience possible. We have supplied Ascot, Dunlop, Fitforyou, Grays, Hi-tec, Imask, International Squash Magazine, Mavrik, Mico, Penn, Salming, Squash Cannon,Squash Master, Squash United, Synergy Squash Magazine and Unsquashable products to Squash Centres and Players all over Australia and clocked up more kms and airmiles than we can count.and loved it! In 2004 we created www.squash.com.au to help centres stay in business by stocking their stores. It is still a unique model globally as we give back 50% of the profits and still keep our prices competitive. We now present pop up stores in Squash Centres all over Australia so that those centres (mainly regional) that cannot afford to have a fully stocked Pro-shop can still offer their members great gear(and they still get 50% of the profit). This logo was hand-drawn by my sister-in-law 25 years ago and hangs in my office so I see it every day. It’s a nice reminder of why I come to work and have happily done so for 25 years. So from Lisa and I to the many, many people that have been part of our story for the first 25 years we give a huge thanks (and a socially distant nod) and whether it be at a running event, squash tournament or out and about, cannot wait to see you later in the year!

24.01.2022 We received the following idea this week and would love to know your thoughts? Squash in your 80's, that's the plan and you know the plan for a healthy life is to keep active for as long as you can. So if we look at squash, the most difficult thing as you get older is the short lunging, you can do it but it takes you longer to recover so we propose the higher tin to reduce this and to give other advantages as well.... The rallies will be longer Short drops will not exist Boasts will most likely always hit the second sidewall You can get a better run out of a shorter time with more time being spent in rallies and less time in serve and return and the dreaded 3 hit rally will become a thing of the past. The tin will have a hinge just below the standard red line and you simply lift the hinged lower panel to rest above giving you the 750mm (30") tin and off you go. There is one problem with this however, it requires change and acceptance. If you ask most people they will say they are open-minded and progressive but if that means change it often gets too hard and is met with opposition without even trying it. So what do you think, would you give it a go?
24.01.2022 It’s great to see Victorian Squash still going ahead with their awards even though they cannot do it at the dinner they usually host. Last year Ros French received a Life time achievement award. Ros has managed Squash Centres, played around all levels and been significantly involved in the running of Masters Events. When we established Inform Connection in 1996 Ros was the first person to join the Team. She presented over 200 Inform events and we often made her job pretty har...d particularly at Junior Graded events where she had to do redraws in 20 minutes and get all the courts on and off every 20 minutes all day! To our children she is Grandma Ros and whilst I often give her a hard time about being in the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest Australian female, there is no way that Informs first 25 years would have been a success without her!!
23.01.2022 This is our 25th year of doing business in Australia. We are incredibly proud of our history and blessed with the support we receive from Squash Centres and Players all over Australia. Right now we want all the Squash Centre personnel and Squash Players to stay safe, do the right things and hopefully we can all get back on court before the year is out. I truly believe that the Squash industry contains some of the nicest people I have ever met. Keep being nice folks, the wor...ld needs some smiles right now! Rest assured that when this is all over, Inform will be ready to service Squash again!
19.01.2022 Christine Nunn is one of our favorites so it was lovely to catch up with her and hear how she is progressing....... she even managed to sledge Rex Hedrick!!!!

15.01.2022 World Champion Tarek Momen in the latest International Squash Magazine!
15.01.2022 I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved in 25 years of business. I certainly did not expect the challenges that 2020 has presented but am incredibly grateful that the Squash Community is loyal and continues to support us. Whilst we have only been in the Running and Fitness Industry for 5 years we have met some magnificent people and to see them running the roads and Trails in Salming is exciting. But it is still a tough year so if you get the chance to support our squa...sh brands, our online store or you need Running/Walking shoes it will be greatly appreciated. Thankyou
14.01.2022 Friday Flashback To the year 2000 when Nicol David made history!
14.01.2022 Hello Squash lovers, These are certainly interesting times! Our office and I personally are receiving lots of calls asking where people can still play squash. Obviously most competitions are currently suspended but I know that many centres are still open and have implemented numerous strategies to provide a safe environment.... So I would like to publish a list of venues where squash is still being played. If you can direct message Inform or myself (Steve Walton) I will keep updating the document. You can provide centre name and any contact details you want people to have. I will also pass it all along to every State and Territory Association plus the National body so they can either take it over or publish it. Stay positive Steve
12.01.2022 How YOU can make 2020 the year squash grows! 1. Junior Players : Invite your friends down to the courts and teach them how to play. Introduce them to your squash friends and get them addicted to the game that you love. If you get only one player for the year that takes the sport up then that will be a great result. 2, Adult players we need you to bring a work colleague or friends down to the courts and teach them how to play. Team them up with someone so that they can make it... part of their week. If you have some influence at work or any community groups that you are in, get a group down to the squash centre one day and show them how to play. If you can get just one person to make it a weekly session then you will have done well. 3. Masters Players : Get your family on court and show them how to play. You can also make sure that once a month you volunteer at the courts to have a hit with any junior or senior player that wants some help. If you can get one person to play regularly and to improve their game it will be a great result. 4. PSA players : In most cases there will be a club or a person that has helped your career so it would be great if you could give one free clinic or exhibition to motivate new players and existing players. Offer one free group coaching session to all beginners. If you can inspire one new person to take up the game you will have done a great job. 5. Court Owners : Make it a regular part of your program to give new players a free session. Maybe once a month you have a come and try day for free. If you can also show these people how to play you might just get yourself a new customer or two every month! 6. Parents : Focus only on making sure your kids are having a great time at Squash. We hope that your kids will play for life not just for a junior ranking. If you can help them to love the game then this will be a great result. 7. Brands : Support good players with great behaviour as these will be the role models that clubs need to attract more players. It’s not hard, enter it in your diary for next year now! 11.01.2022 It’s been a very long time since MSAC has been this packed! Great to see Ramy Ashour in Melbourne and what an exciting event it was!
11.01.2022 Ever since we Began I’m in 1996 we have sponsored athletes and appointed Ambassadors. It is in the DNA of our business and stems from my experience as a Pro Squash player and Lisa’s experience in International Aerobics. We have met some fantastic people, many of them and their families have become close friends and I also like to think we have assisted with their professional development. We are fiercely loyal to our team but behind closed doors we have high standards for the...m and we push them to be their best. We often share laughter, success, tears and failure...... but mainly laughter! This poster sits in front of my desk at the moment ( I swap pictures of our Ambassadors around so I can keep my mind on them) and I can’t look at it without thinking of all the times I have tried to interview Christine and it has not turned out as I planned! To all the sponsored players and Ambassadors we have had since 1996, thankyou for all that you have contributed to us , we are blessed to have worked with so many wonderful people.
09.01.2022 All reports suggest that the Squash Australia AGM was one of the best for many years. Here are 7 things I would like to see now 1. Be inclusive. Our sport has fractured in the last four years with many states and important groups losing their trust in Squash Australia. It will need to bring people back and the best way is to include everyone. 2. It is ridiculous that there is no national marketing or awareness plan for squash. Everyone would benefit from this.... 3. High performance seems to receive an enormous amount of funding, take up a significant amount of time and resources and yet we still have a number of unhappy High Performance Athletes. Surely this can be done better. 4. Stop the high turnover of staff. No organization should have the amount of staff changes that Squash Australia has. It is a waste of resources continually training up new people. Whatever the management or process problem is that is causing this, fix it. 5. With every decision and every action, ask is this in the best interest of squash? Every board member and Squash Australia employee is a servant of the game. 6. Actively work to get more juniors into clubs, into coaching programs, into events and part of the fabric of squash. Not just for junior rankings or data generation but for the future of squash. 7. Stop the negative chatter about the state of the game in Australia. Don’t BS us but start to implement some exciting plans that people can buy into. And remember it is very possible that the best people to do this may not be Squash Australia employees but are the best equipped to make squash exciting again!
09.01.2022 Good news for a Friday - Telstra have reconnected our phones so you can call and chat anytime now! 07 5445 3773. Have a great weekend!
04.01.2022 Congratulations Dylan Classen on a fantastic result! Had the best squash experience at the Singaporean Junior Open finishing 6th out of 64 in the U17 Boys. In the Quaters I played the No.1 seed losing in a really close 4 games and perhaps the best match I Played to date. Thanks to Salming and Unsquashable for sponsoring me and supporting me this whole year as I wouldn't be able to have the great gear to play with this whole year. Also like to thank Squashworld Mirrabooka for letting me use their great facilities to train at. Thanks to Amanda Hopps for coaching me and supporting me this whole year to become a better player on court and a better person off court. Thank you mum Michelle Van Olst for also supporting me this year on and off court and also helping me accomplish big goals for 2019!
02.01.2022 It was nice to have a quick catch up with Ken Lamb at Willoughby Squash recently. He is one of our Super Unsquashable Ambassadors, set to have a big year!
01.01.2022 Do you need Polo Shirts, T-shirts, Hoodies, Long Sleeve Tees, Shorts, Skirts, Caps, Towels, Stubby Holders or anything else with your logo on it? You name the item and we can generally source it and put your logo on it! Inform has been doing merchandise for a decade and we have done State Teams, Australian Masters Championships and plenty more. Send us a message and we can have a chat through some ideas! AND.., if you refer someone to us who goes ahead with some clothing, yo...ur club will receive 10% of the order value as a credit that you can use to get some squash gear! We have been looking after the Uniforms for SA juniors (pictured), Australian Masters and many, many others for years and would love to help you either with a uniform, prizes or any special event requirements!
