15.01.2022 Update on support for Bushfire affected people: After some enquiries I have decided to extend support to people who are working for volunteer or not for profit organisations who are providing support to Bushfire victims. I've got experience working with people who experience compassion fatigue or vicarious trauma - the reaction that can happen for people who are helping those after a disaster. Please contact me to discuss the specifics of what I can do to help, and if I'm not the right person, I will help you find someone who is!

13.01.2022 Well, its been a while folks! Life has been hectic. This week nothing has been going right, things keep breaking, everything seems to be going wrong. And it made me remember an important part of resilience is SELF EFFICACY. So because I try to practice what I preach I took a step back, and tried to do something that I knew would work and almost immediately, having something work really boosted my sense of well being! So if you are feeling like things are getting you down, everything is not working try doing something you know you will succeed at! #covid_19 #resilience #selfefficacy #ingenuitypsychology

05.01.2022 Mental Health Support for Australian Bushfire Victims. I am lost for words at the generosity of the people of the world as they respond to the call for donations to help the bushfire victims. I saw money donated, meals being provided, someone offering their bull dozer to help with the clean up. So I wanted to add my own contribution to that effort using the set of skills I possess. I can offer bulk billed mental health care plan sessions via video conferencing for anyone in a rural or remote area affected by the bushfires. This means the counselling is of no cost to you. Please reach out via my webpage and I will arrange a time to discuss your needs with you confidentially. Also, watch this space, I am also working on a more broader scale idea, but it will take some time to put together! https://www.ingenuitypsychology.com.au/blog

05.01.2022 With cold and flu season upon us, remember that when you feel sick, its best to stay home from work. Going to work ill can prolong recovery and reduce efficiency. From an organisational psychology perspective we know that going to work ill isnt letting the team down, its actually protecting productivity and well being in the workplace. Follow your workplace protocol about sick leave and rest up and recover quicker!

02.01.2022 Psychologist: why see one? Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. If you want to work on mental health strategies to improve your wellbeing, come and see a psychologist. I have training in mental health care, organisational psychology (the psychology of work and how humans interact with work) as well as relationship, resilience and general life coaching.
