08.01.2022 Ingham Bowls Club hosted our annual Goodwill afternoon of bowls and friendship, between Noorla, Macknade and Ingham. This year we played 3 games / 6 ends of 2 bowl triples, with a power play in each game. Thank you to Westpac for sponsoring this event. A wonderful afternoon was had by all bowlers with a different format being played.

Picture 6: Roger Celotto (94 years old today) Picture 7: John Eddleston Picture 8: Pat Miguel Today, being the last day of the month, the ladies gave us a Fun Day, picking teams by paddle pop, then playing 2 games of 10 ends, with a power play in each of the games and winning a chocolate for a toucher. The winners of each game played their second game on the rink to their left 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 7 to 1 etc The dress theme was something Chistmassy. There was plenty of colour on the green from the 36 players. At the conclusion of play, there were 2 teams on equal games and points. 2 games each and 27 points. On countback Peter Herman’s team John Holmes, David Horsley and Peter Herman defeated Jan Colson, Elsa Piotto and Glen Torrisi, 37 shots to 25. Players then sat down to a sausage sizzle, followed by delicious sweets made by the ladies. Thanks to Pat Miguel, Elsa Piotto and Jan Craven for working out the teams. Thanks also to Bev Eddleston for preparing the onions and sausage, which were cooked by Paul Hallam. Happy Birthday to Roger Celotto, who celebrated his 94th birthday today. Congratulations to the ladies for a brilliant afternoon.
