23.01.2022 - I M P O R T A N T M E S S A G E - Good Afternoon Parents and Community! Welcome to Term 1 2021!... Please read information below regarding the start of the school year and protocols for parents. These school protocols have been developed to align with current Government policies and can change at any time. As changes occur we will publish updated protocols to reflect these changes affecting our school. We thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding as we plan and implement procedures to maintain the health and safety of our students, staff and wider school community. At all times, please observe COVID safe practices when on school grounds. This includes: - Social distancing (1.5m) for adults - Maintaining good hand hygiene - Staying home when sick for students and adults - One parent per family allowed on the school grounds, unless an appointment is made with the classroom teachers or administration. No parents will be allowed into the classrooms. Mornings and afternoons are a very busy time for teachers if you have anything you wish to discuss with teachers please make an appointment to ensure that any concerns/issues can be discussed. CLASS LISTS - We are conscious that parents may wish to check class lists and help their child with supplies (especially in the lower school) if they have not attended the book drop off. Class lists are displayed on the notice boards outside the Office and under B Block walkway. Please be mindful of social distancing and other COVID protocols. Parents may drop supplies off outside classrooms but due once again to COVID restrictions may not go into the classrooms. There will be a strong staff presence to ensure that your child and their supplies are secure. PREP STUDENTS - Parents may bring their child in to the Multi-Purpose (MP) Hall. Teachers / Teacher Aides will be in the area from 8.00 a.m. to meet the students there. Please ensure social distancing while on the grounds. - Prep students can be collected by parents at the back gate when they are released by the Prep Teachers. Parents are asked to wait for students outside the school gates for pick-up and practice social distancing while waiting. ALL OTHER STUDENTS - All students in Years 1-6 must wait in the MP Hall before school. Classrooms will open at 8:30am and students will be released in year level groups. - All students in Years 1-6 can be collected from back gate or side pick up zone. Please discuss pick up points with your student/s before school commences. Again, parents are asked to wait for students outside the gates and must practice social distancing. We look forward to seeing everyone on Day 1 - Wednesday 27th January!

16.01.2022 As we near the end of the year, we sadly say good-bye to some our staff. We thank all these lovely ladies for their valuable contributions over the years! Miss Karla Srb, although she has not been here long, she certainly has made an impact and her students will miss her so. Mrs Jo Zatta, our AUSLAN interpreter, has grown with her students and we have had the absolute pleasure of watching and enjoying the signing choir perform every year since the students were only little. Now Jo will graduate again! Mrs Satu Dickson, for all her wonderful support in the Office and with the students, assisting Mrs Lyn Melvin (not pictured). Mrs Melvin, for many years, has done an amazing job, enriching all students’ lives with her knowledge, dedication and passion. Ingham State School staff and students thank you and will miss you dearly.

05.01.2022 The staff and students received a special treat today!! A visit from Santa!!! The zooper doopers were a cool refreshing treat on this hot day! Santa had a lovely time listening to requests and chatting with the students. Thanks for the visit Santa!!
