25.01.2022 Hey folks! Here is the second video in our Great Western Tiers Walks series. Last week we visited Dale Brook. This week takes us a bit further along that same w...alking track. From the bridge over Dale Brook, Higgs Track winds its way up, up, and more up, through rainforest to the Central Plateau Conservation Area, Lady Lake and further on towards Mt Ironstone. Today I stopped at Lady Lake and had some lunch in the hut before heading back down. The walk is moderate and will take 3-4 hours return. *Please be mindful to keep to tracks wherever possible, and be sure to walk around sensitive alpine vegetation, like the cushion plant shown in this video. 03.01.2022 Meander Falls 35 minutes drive from Deloraine, 6 hours return walk

03.01.2022 Just a short 25min. drive to the Meander Falls car park from Ingleson Lodge then you can take a short walk across the bridge up through the gorgeous fernery and this is definitely where the fairies live, or take a 6 hr return trip to the Meander Falls.

02.01.2022 Meander Falls - Notice to intending visitors Significant maintenance works are underway to improve visitor access to the Meander Falls walking track network. Wo...rks have commenced on the section of Meander Falls Road between Mother Cummings Rivulet and the Meander Falls Car Parking area. The construction includes resheeting and grading of the road surface and drainage works. The car park and associated tracks of Cleft Rock track, Dixons Track, and Meander Falls Track will be unavailable to the public until July 15th inclusive. Partial or full closures may occur while ongoing roadworks are completed from July 15th to August 5th with public access to be made available over weekend periods. This closure has been scheduled for the off-peak visitation period to reduce the impact on visitors. Please note that during the works visitors may encounter large vehicles and machinery on the road, please proceed with caution and obey all relevant signage. For further information please contact the Great Western Tiers field office 6701 2104.
