13.01.2022 COVID-19 Update: Supermarkets are currently seeing a huge increase in demand, and our store has been impacted like every other supermarket across the country. Whilst we are doing everything we can to ensure our community has access to essentials, we are currently going through challenging times due to this increased demand, plus the current supply issues we are facing with getting goods into our store.... To help ensure that everyone gets fair access to essential items we have implemented a 2 item limit on ALL PRODUCTS in our store (newsagency and hardware excluded) and a 1 item limit on ALL TOILET PAPER and other sensitive lines. We have also increased the number of deliveries being received each week to try and help with the extra demand on our store. That being said we ask that you buy only what you need and be considerate in the way you shop. We have a zero tolerance policy to abuse, and from now on any person abusing a staff member will be asked to leave the premises immediately. We ask that you treat our staff with the courtesy and respect they deserve in these difficult times. We are still doing home deliveries to our regular elderly and disabled customers as we have always done, free of charge. Whilst we are still restricted by product availability this ensures that our most vulnerable community members are not going completely without. Contrary to popular belief our store has not been impacted by busloads of people from other towns or cities, however we are aware of some extra people driving distances to our store to purchase goods. They are restricted to product limits just like every other customer. Please be assured that if we were to see a busload/busloads of people arriving at our store with the intention of ‘stripping the shelves’ (as has been seen elsewhere in the country) that they would be denied access to our store. On the topic of postcode exclusions, whilst it may work in other situations, we simply cannot enforce such a restriction in our store. We are a country supermarket and have regular customers travel from up to 60km away to shop with us each week, and they would be severely impacted by a postcode restriction. We also have regular customers who work in town, but live in Bendigo and they too would be impacted by such a ban. Being on the Calder Highway we also rely heavily on weekend trade from people passing through our town to keep our business afloat. We hope this has cleared up some of the questions you may have regarding the current situation, and we ask for your understanding and patience moving forward. We are closely monitoring the situation and will do whatever we can to ensure our community continues to have access to essential items. Thank you, Peter & Sue Moore

13.01.2022 We are happy to announce that we have finally been able to secure some toilet paper for our customers! These rolls last a long time! Limit of 1 per customer.

02.01.2022 Thanks to all the local men that came to my help today. Shows how we look out for one another. The thief was getting in my face and pushing me away until everybody arrived to help. Even the Policeman who had to use spay to cuff him had not had anyone not respond to being sprayed . Thanks again to all for supporting me and the help given. It’s the beauty of having a close knit country town. Thanks heaps
