20.01.2022 Homegrown Talent in the Square! 20.01.2022 CLOCKTOWER SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT We think we can all agree our beloved clocktower has seen better days. We've been working with the owners of the building (apartments and shops) to get to the bottom of why the clock stops working. And a raft of issues have been uncovered including: - water ingress affecting the clock mechanism, - rotting timbers, and - potentially decaying brickwork/concrete. ... A couple of years back (when the clock was working), Inglewood on Beaufort secured some grant funding from the City of Stirling to affix lighting to the tower so we can all enjoy our neighbourhood's icon throughout the day and night. This sparked numerous assessments (each of which require one of the apartment owners to kindly provide access through their living room) which uncovered the above issues and preliminary estimates are significant to say the least... We plan to erect scaffolding around the tower for a couple of weeks so we can obtain more detailed quotes and map out a better plan of attack. This will likely involve needing to seek out grant funding to supplement the owners' contributions because it could be a couple of years if the owners are to fund it on their own through a special levy. The owners have been doing their best to maintain this old beauty including: - numerous clock repairs, - fixing, stripping back and repainting the awning, and - repairing the character tiling along Beaufort Street. There are a bunch of other maintenance issues in the building aside from the clocktower so we ask everyone to be understanding of their situation. As your community group, we're dedicated to helping the owners to fix Inglewood's icon. If you have any skills, connections or resources you can offer to help please comment below or send us a message.

11.01.2022 Ruth Perrin joined Inglewood on Beaufort in 2014 when we first commenced as a fledgling town team. Ruth was the designer behind our brand and helped with lots of the early marketing of Inglewood on Beaufort before accepting a role as our Community Coordinator in 2017. It is with much sadness that we say farewell to our wonderful co-worker. Ruth has been instrumental in providing support to our local businesses and community and bringing our town team Inglewood on Beaufort br...and to life. We wish her all the success in her next chapter as she continues creating beautiful graphics and branding with her business Ruth Perrin - The Cursive Creative and from time to time helping us continue to have the most eye catching marketing around town! And another farewell, this time to our Inglewood Night Markets Social Media Coordinator Bec Nguyen - who has worked tirelessly alongside her full time job to bring our Inglewood Night Markets to life through social media for the past two seasons. Bec’s involvement with Fringe World also allowed her to bring the concept of Fr’Inglewood to our community and Inglewood on Beaufort has been proud to support her in doing this. We wish Bec all the very best, but as you probably know she continues to be very much involved in the community - recently coordinating her successful Inglewood Upmarkets - an amazing initiative with another local, Hayley H and don't be surprised if we do some other co-labs with Bec again....
