15.01.2022 After two days of selling the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale is on track to deliver the greatest growth of any yearling sale in 2016, with the clearance rate, average, median and top prices to never before seen levels. 43 lots have been sold for $100,000 or more, well exceeding the 27 for last years entire sale. The depth of buying has driven the average price to $58,820, a massive jump of 33% on last year. The median price has jumped a huge 37% to a remarkable $48,000. A new ...Classic Sale record top price was set of $410,000, bettering the previous record of $350,000 set in 2007. Fierce bidding saw the record smashed by a striking colt offered by Yarraman Park, by their hot young resident sire I Am Invincible. The colt out of English mare Quirina (Lot 193) was secured by Lance OSullivans Wexford Stables, and will stay in Australia initially to be trained by Mike Moroney at Flemington. They outbid Yulong Investments of China, who have already purchased four others by I Am Invincible at the sale. As a result, an extra 30 Lots will be sold during the Saturday night session, and an extra 60 Lots on Sunday. This will create a shorter day of action on Monday, which will allow industry participants to attend Day 3 of the Classic Sale and get to the races for the majority of the meeting if they choose. 06.01.2022 Star Inglis Classic graduate Property added the Blue Diamond Prelude to his Blue Diamond Preview win of last month with a comprehensive victory at Caulfield tod...ay. Property (Starcraft x Opalize) showed his customary dazzling turn of foot to continue his surge to the Blue Diamond, and caused his owners a serious headache. Property isnt nominated for the Group 1 Blue Diamond in a fortnight, so owners David Price and Jenny Chapman must now decide whether to pay the $55,000 late entry fee. Property was a $130,000 buy at last years Inglis Classic Yearling Sale for Aquanita Racing from the Amarina Farm draft. Property beat fellow Inglis graduate Pariah, a James Harron Bloodstock Easter Yearling purchase who is also part-owned by Inglis deputy chairman Arthur Inglis and members of his family. See more

Read the full story at http://bit.ly/1F9bN6y One client who has experienced great results at Inglis Classic is Dr Ulysses Crosson. Part-owner of Lady Jivago (Beneteau x Hussterics), Crosson and his wife Susan picked the filly out of last years sale and took her home for $14,000. She has now won two of her three starts as a two-year-old, including the $250,000 RL Inglis Classic Race at Rosehill earlier this year, amassing over $190,000 for her owners. Dr and Mrs Crosson were again active today, securing two fillies from the Autumn Book: Bradburys Luck x Belle Asteri (Lot 26) from Carramar Park for $23,000, and Myboycharlie x Keep The Filly (Lot 58) from Ferndale Farm for $20,000. Both fillies are out of relations to Group 3 winners, and, like Lady Jivago, will be trained by Jeff Englebrecht at Wyong. They were the two standouts for us, Jeff came and had a look at them with us yesterday. Sue preferred the Myboycharlie and I preferred the Bradburys Luck, so we took them both home, said Crosson. We hope well be back at the Classic Race again next year, taking home two weve doubled our chances! Crosson said.

03.01.2022 The 2017 sales season will be the last for Inglis at its iconic Newmarket complex, with confirmation the companys new Warwick Farm base will be ready for use b...y early next year. Construction of the new $140m precinct, adjacent to the Warwick Farm racecourse, is set to be completed in December. As a result, this years Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale (April 10-12), which has been moved back to its former timeslot to follow on from the Australian Easter Yearling Sale, will be the final sale held at Newmarket. The first sale at the new complex will be the Classic Yearling Sale, in early February 2018.
