21.01.2022 A world class collection of the finest yearlings has been unveiled, with the pedigrees of 580 royally-bred and conformed athletes catalogued for the 2016 Inglis... Australian Easter Yearling Sale on 5, 6 and 7 April. Years of meticulous planning and hard work by breeders and vendors will culminate in what promises to be an amazing week in Sydney this April. We are excited to offer 580 elite thoroughbreds from the best families across the globe, and to again play host to our clients from around Australia and all parts of the world, said Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster. Appealing to the passions of all thoroughbred enthusiasts, the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale in April is neatly positioned during the week of The Championships at Royal Randwick, where prizemoney totalling $20 million will be offered over the two exceptional days of racing, including 8 Group 1 races. Twelve months on from Criterions victory in the $4 million Queen Elizabeth Stakes his half-brother will be offered at the Easter Sale, along with the siblings to Able Friend, Winx, Lankan Rupee, Dissident, Fawkner, Press Statement, Sacred Star and Luger all ranked among the 2015 Worlds Best Racehorses. Amalgamating the strength of the catalogue are the progeny of 173 stakes winning mares which won 47 Group 1 races among them. 142 Easter yearlings to be offered are already siblings to stakes winners, including 43 Group 1 winners. 56 individual sires are represented in the catalogue led by Fastnet Rock (52 lots), Sebring (43), Snitzel (30), Street Cry (28) and Redoutes Choice (24), plus freshmen Pierro (41) and All Too Hard (37). Boosting the international flavour are five yearlings by Europes undefeated champion Frankel and one by Shamardal, the proven sire of World Champion Sprinter and Inglis Easter graduate Able Friend. Strawberry Hill Stud, Three Bridges Thoroughbreds and Cressfield will offer progeny by Frankel, while Widden Stud will consign one each by Frankel and Shamardal. Champion Inglis Easter graduates Fastnet Rock and Exceed And Excel have already proven to be outstanding progenitors and 2016 will see the first crop of World Champion Three-Year-Old Miler and Inglis Easter sale-topper All Too Hard offered for sale. Foxwedge followed in his sires footsteps and graced the ring at Newmarket, and 17 yearlings from his second crop are to be sold in 2016 with similar hopes for greatness, while Coolmore Stud will offer his sister among their 41 strong draft. Dynasties are created at Easter and this April fillies will be obtainable from the prestigious families of Fanfreluche, Easy Date, Dancing Show, Detroit, Oceanfast, Circles Of Gold, Emancipation, Jesmond Lass, Piccadilly Circus, Subterfuge, Snippets Lass, Scandinavia, Danelagh, Parfore and Helen Street. Each will be an opportunity to gain access to the worlds most illustrious bloodlines. The Australian sales season has started well as expected, noting the lure of a weak Australian dollar which provides opportunities for international investors but also provides incentive for domestic investors to buy from home rather than importing from overseas, where they will pay a premium when factoring in currency exchange rates," Webster points out. "This is the year to invest in Australian bloodstock, even more importantly to invest in thoroughbreds that have the potential to perform well beyond their two year old campaigns, thoroughbreds that have scope on the racetrack and in the breeding barn such as recent Easter graduates All Too Hard, Deep Field and Wandjina. This is the one sale around the globe in 2016 that serious racing investors and enthusiasts dont want to miss, said Webster," Webster said. To view the 2016 Inglis Easter catalogue go online to inglis.com.au or download it on the Inglis Sales iPad App. Hard copy catalogues for the sale will be available late next week, request yours by sending an email to [email protected] or call Inglis Sydney on +61 2 9399 7999 For clients wanting assistance with accommodation at and travel to the sale, please contact Inglis Travel Coordinator Tanita Vella on +61 2 9399 7999 or email [email protected]
