19.01.2022 Congratulations to my students Jacinta and Ali for both being awarded A’s for their singing exams. Jacinta for 2nd grade music theatre and Ali for 3rd grade Music Theatre.. a wonderful result! So proud of both of you!! so proud of all my students who did exams in 2020.. all receiving A’s or above!!
19.01.2022 Not good news for performing arts and it’s understandable as we know singing just isn’t safe at this stage so online singing lessons will continue. We are coping well and getting used to this format now. I’m just sad for those students who cannot access online lessons and are waiting for face to face sessions to start. I will keep you updated as to when I can see patients face to face in the rooms but at this stage it’s zoom and Telehealth folks. Stay safe. X

13.01.2022 It’s Speech Pathology week! Big shout out to all the amazing Speechie’s out there working in aged care, in the hospitals and in rehab. For me CoVID has hugely affected my scope of practise as many patients are missing out on sessions because for a variety of reasons they can’t do Telehealth sessions. Very hard when your role is helping ppl and you can’t help them. I am grateful that I can still work and provide assessment and therapy to those who can access it.
10.01.2022 Promising but not sure about the validity https://www.bbc.com/news/health-53853961

05.01.2022 An interesting research study. Important to take Vit D if you have a deficiency but it appears it won’t stop you from getting a cold or flu. https://www.abc.net.au//qld-vitamin-d-supplement/13057290

02.01.2022 Sadly this is why face to face singing is just too risky for the moment.. it breaks my heart but we have to stay safe https://www.abc.net.au//how-easily-covid-19-sprea/12677830
02.01.2022 Teachers have finished for the year but I’m going to pop this here for when school goes back next year. https://fb.watch/2wP8dvnKa5/
01.01.2022 Anyone interested? Please read casting requirements before applying.
01.01.2022 So at this stage singing lessons must still be online.. or outside.. but outside is not really practical. I’ll keep you all posted if things change..lucky we are used to Zoom now https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/entertainment-and-cultur
01.01.2022 The latest for singing studios. Wearing masks is still required so face to face lessons remain pointless at this stage https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/entertainment-and-cultur
