25.01.2022 Your health and safety is our highest priority, and no were not just saying that because every other email and message that you have seen this week is saying that, or to contribute to your information overload. The last couple weeks have seen some interesting times in our community. While others have developed an unusual toilet paper obsession weve been doing things as usual around the clinic to maintain a high standard or clinic hygiene and infection control as well as tak...e a few extra precautions. Like most organisations we think it is important that everyone knows what we are doing to contribute. If you didnt know already it is our standard procedure to: - Apply new disposable face hole covers for every patient. - Disinfect and wipe down treatment beds between consultations. - Wash hands according to WHO protocol. - Wear protective equipment such as gloves when appropriate. - Clean gym equipment after use. We are however taking extra precautions: - Weve upgraded our cleaning products to the best antiviral solutions available. - Providing extra sanitising gels/wipes to use for staff and patients throughout the clinic, make sure you moisturise often now too, dont want cracked hands. - Were removing linen from treatment tables, sorry no cushy towels for you. - Until further notice we have removed unsupervised access to our gym but have replaced this with an additional Monday and Friday morning 9:30am supervised sessions starting as of 23/3. - We have also reduced the capacity of our group training sessions so everyone has more space to train (less excuses to not get on the Leg Press muhahah). - If need be we will add more supervised times. You can obviously help as well: Youve probably seen this a thousand times but if you are suffering from flu like symptoms or have been in contact with someone diagnosed with Covid-19 please let us know and consult your doctor before attending your appointment at the Injury Rehab Centre. Other than that practice good hygiene and bring your own towel to utilise our small group training options. If you are unable to attend your appointment at the clinic we have set up access to an online consultation technology to still continue your care and help you FEEL BETTER, MOVE BETTER and PERFORM BETTER. In addition he has indicated that they are now developing full allied health telehealth options within the week for allied health along with all other health and medical services. This will be part of a staged plan. Face to face services for many remain vital so where possible, we encourage you to continue. I thank you for your courage, dedication and care, the Minister said. 09.01.2022 New team member! Steve was excited to welcome the arrival of our newest Injury Rehab team member last weekend. It’s fair to say that Dad didn’t have many complaints when Mum put this name to him - introducing their new pride and joy, the aptly named MATILDA.... Everybody is doing well and you’ll be happy to know that Steve has already got Matilda working on her balance on her own pink MAT that you’re all familiar with and will be testing her out on Bayside’s favourite leg press and our AxIT system during the week. Steve will be back in a few weeks as restrictions hopefully ease but is very happy with the ‘new normal’ but looking forward to seeing you all again soon after a year of disruption. You will have to respond to the tilt and try and adjust so it does not fall. Include a walk with it overhead to add extra pertubation and increase the difficulty.
