18.01.2022 Sorry messed up the date on the previous post. It was announced this morning that tattoo Studios in WA can reopen as of the 6th of June. I have been booking people from the 18th of June as that was the initial date given. I will be contacting everyone with bookings over the next few days about bookings plus rescheduling anyone who had a booking before we closed. 16.01.2022 Crazy that today of all days I come across these photos of my grandparents!! My grandfather was in the Army and was a POW in Germany. Grandpa has been gone nearly 40 years now. My grandma was in the Airforce and when she talked about it they were some of the happiest years of her life. We lost my grandma (or ,as the kids called her, Big Grandma because Mum is grandma to them) in 2013 and we all still miss her .

14.01.2022 Our time of not being able to work is nearly over!! This has been a very strange and trying time for a lot of people. Family is very important to me (probably even more so lately) and while I was not tattooing I got to paint a bee for my Uncle Richards 90th birthday. His grandchildren asked me to do it for him. 11.01.2022 It is the time of the year I think it’s important to remember all the things I am grateful for, especially at the end of an incredibly bizarre year . Firstly I am very grateful that I have such beautiful children. I am in constant awe of my two boys who, although in my heart they are still my babies, are actually incredibly capable, loving young men . I am endlessly grateful to my family and friends who love me despite my often neurotic behaviour. Thank you for being my stre...ngth when I struggled to find my own . I am also very grateful to have an amazing studio with very talented, supportive staff and an awesome bunch of clients. Without all of you Ink Remedy would not be as amazing as it is. So I saved this tattoo to post tonight as it reminds me of all of the people in my life who, despite their own struggles, have enough love in their hearts to share with me when I've needed it. I did this memorial tattoo for my dear friend Netty when her father passed away this year. Netty is one of the friends I am grateful for as her heart is so big that, despite everything she faced herself this year, she was always there with a big hug when she thought I needed a friend. So thank you Netty and thank you also to everyone else in my life (you all know who you are and what you mean to me) for all of the love you give me. 06.01.2022 I have finally finished my painting "Alfie". Alfie the armadillo/butterfly morph is the second complete painting of a series of morphed creatures started way too long ago. In 2014 my friend Dave came and stayed with me while he was working in Perth for a few months. He couldnt believe I had stopped painting and over a carton of beer we came up with the "morphed creatures" concept. I have only finished two in this series but I have been a little busy with starting a tattoo st...udio, building a new studio last year, tattooing full time, running the business and raising my boys. Since then I now try and paint as much as can and Ive been exploring different mediums and styles. It keeps me sane and happy. 05.01.2022 I thought Id share one of the projects Ive been working on since the studio has been closed temporarily. A couple of months ago I managed to score a bunch of mannequins from my friend De. I decided to start tattooing them each in a different style to put on display at the tattoo studio. I may put some up for sale if anyone is interested?? None of these are finished yet but Im getting there. I have another two to start . I miss tattooing real people. There seemed to b...e some benefits of a painting mannequins over tattooing real people..... 1/ these guys dont complain that it hurts. 2/ they never need a wee break/smoke break right in the middle of me doing a really long line or two minutes before I finish shading/colouring a section 3/ I can dump them on the floor for days and they just wait patiently for me to get back to them . That said I miss drawing on real people! I miss their stories, the laughs, the lollies they bring me and so many other things.
