22.01.2022 Here are 5 ways you can increase mindfulness in your life today: 1. Keep a daily journal. Spend a short time each day writing about your day as a passive observer. 2. Focus on the moment you are in. Notice how your body feels and name the emotions you are experiencing.... 3. Practice Active Listening. Take extra care during your next convsersation to really notice what is being said to you. Ask questions to gain extra clarity if you need to. 4. Practice Mindful Eating. Notice everything about your next meal. Notice the smells, the tastes and the sensations. 5. Practice Mindful Breathing. Take a few minutes to focus on your breathing and notice the sensations within your body.

21.01.2022 Thanks to Mish from Lion Designs Aus for this great NYE activity. Reflecting on the year and looking forward to a better 2021 for all.

20.01.2022 Mid-Week self-care check in. What have you done this week that was just for you. I spent a whole day working on my latest crochet project. It helped to re-charge my battery.

18.01.2022 Do you have any New Years Resolutions for the year ahead?

14.01.2022 They say you learn something new every day. Here is something for you today.... Did you know Cows moo with regional accents. Do you have a silly fact you'd like to share?

09.01.2022 Setting boundaries for ourselves is just one way we can have compassion for ourselves and for others. The boundaries we set are influenced by many things, one of which is our own values and beliefs. Setting boundaries is an important part of self-care and compassion.

05.01.2022 Solid advice...

02.01.2022 There are many benefits of seeing me as a counsellor in a private practice. One roadblock that stops many people from seeking help is the fear of being judged and having counselling on their medical records. As a private counsellor I share your information with no one. Therefore there is no need for you to obtain a referral from your GP to begin, or to continue seeing me. You get to make all the decisions. This helps the both of us be able to focus on helping you have more calm in your life, as I will not be diagnosing you. I'm not intimidating and will aim to make you feel as comfortable and welcomed as I can whether you book an online session or an in person session.
