18.01.2022 What a fantastic story about a school in Canberra using mindfulness meditation to help students prepare for their day ahead. Very inspiring. #mindfulness #mediation #innerdimensionhypnotherapy http://mobile.abc.net.au//mindfulness-relaxation-/7039114
15.01.2022 Try this: meditation for exploring the distracted mind. "By learning to allow distractionsthoughts, feelings, impulses and sensationsto come and go in the mind, we cultivate a way of releasing ourselves from the grip of any older, more adhesive mind states that occur from time to time. Distractions are seen most clearly when the mind is given just one thing to do, and placing the attention on the breath is a skillful way to anchor the mind, so the tug on the anchor may be... felt." via Mindful.org https://www.mindful.org/meditation-exploring-distracted-mi/

06.01.2022 Quitting smoking strategies When Quitting: - Make any thoughts or associations you have with cigarettes negative (and remind yourself of this on a regular basis).... - Don’t put yourself under any more pressure than you have to by telling people that you’re giving up. - Don’t make a big deal out of it. If anyone asks you about smoking, reply: I’m a non-smoker" and remind yourself of this on a regular basis. - Stress levels will rise especially in the first week. To counter balance this walk for 30 minutes a day which is also good for speeding up your metabolism if weight gain is a consideration. - Any cravings you get will only last a couple of minutes, so if they come up, distract yourself, and keep yourself busy. - If you drink a lot of coffee or cola and you quit smoking, your body will absorb twice as much caffeine as it did before when you were smoking. This increase in caffeine can make us feel revved up and anxious, which is when we may want to reach for the cigarettes. 06.01.2022 New research shows that a lot of Aussies aren't getting enough sleep. Have you ever considered using hypnotherapy to help cure insomnia? It is a safe and proven technique that could be the answer to a good night's rest, every night. http://www.perthnow.com.au//a902368f7493c1470a325391824cf6... #innerdimensionshypnotherapy #hypnosis #hypnotherapy #insomnia
04.01.2022 We love this feedback we received from Ben, who saw us initially to help quit smoking, and then later on for weight loss. Have a read and be inspired: "I had a stop smoking session with John in 2008. I quit rather easily despite going through the death of my father. He died suddenly of a heart attack - he was a non-smoker for the last 30 years and was at that time 10kg lighter than me. In June 2009, I saw John for weight loss, at the time I was 115kg (I put on 10kg since I q...uit the cigs). By the end of 2009, I think from memory I was around the 85kg mark. Today and for the last few years my weight has fluctuated between 77 to 80kg. I am aware that the percentage of people who are actually successful long-term in maintaining their ideal weight is tiny. For that reason I would like to share with you how I was able to maintain this very different lifestyle I enjoy today. Firstly, the timing was right. I saw John when I had enough of that old sedentary lifestyle. I think I saw exactly the right person - no question John, you were a catalyst and I can’t thank you enough. I think the most important part of it though was I took responsibility for making those changes; at times I admit it wasn’t easy. But I maintained the importance of feeling fit - as I see it I have to keep up with my kids, they are also a big catalyst. At the end of the day there are many reasons for this new me. It is the awareness and the importance of these reasons that will no doubt carry me through into old age. Thanks again John." Image found on Pinterest.
