24.01.2022 Hip mobility sequence to start your day with! They may seem simple but for someone with tight hips these may be challenging. Always work to a safe limit and not overstretch.

20.01.2022 Can’t stress enough how important exercise is for good health and wellbeing, not just physically but mentally as well. Move, every chance you get! (Click on the link to read his story)

19.01.2022 Exercise at any age has benefits but after 40 it can change your life.

19.01.2022 Been awhile since my last post. Here's one I came across today which, funnily enough, I used to believe I could when I was in my 20s! Shows how gullible we all can be. I know now a "detox" is what your liver and kidneys are for ;) What was a myth you used to believe in?

18.01.2022 To slice or not to slice? I have a thing for going against the knife, and while I’m not recommending that everyone should resist surgery, I am for seeking out non-invasive methods first and have a good understanding of both options before deciding.

17.01.2022 Hello! So I've been busy with studies in the last couple of months, but I still made sure I carved out time to move. Recently took up Animal Flow (animalflow.com) with a certified trainer, and it really showed me that I've so much more to learn about strength and flexibility. Some of the moves may be similar to yoga, but applied in different tempo and transitions. Humbled me to realise I'm not as strong as I thought I was in some areas. If you're interested just check out a couple of videos on Animal Flow, maybe seek out a trainer for a few sessions, and most of all keep moving!

17.01.2022 Exercise Snacking! If you don't have 30 continuous minutes to commit to exercise, why not "snack" on it? 6 x 5-minute bursts of energetic walking is just as effective, according to this little trial. Love this concept to keep us moving :-)

14.01.2022 If you have a spare hour (or listen to it while driving, commuting, doing chores, etc.) - this podcast is packed full of information about what we (or I at least) have always wondered: is gluten good or bad, what about sugar and fat, and why do we crave them so much? Not suggesting you go on a keto diet, but perhaps just empower your mind with a few more facts to help you decide what your next meal is going to be... And EXERCISE! (towards the end of the podcast)

09.01.2022 Fantastic way to get our seniors to flex their muscles! (And have less physiological and musculoskeletal complications as they age gracefully)

07.01.2022 Happy practicing, everyone!

07.01.2022 As much as I love how yoga makes my mind, body and spirit feel, I also know the issues with repetitive movements without some other discipline to balance it out. I highly recommend seeking another form of movement (or a few!) to mix it up and keep your practice well-rounded. Explore!

06.01.2022 Weight training, yes! No matter how old you are, resistance / weight training is key to staying on top of your physical health.

05.01.2022 I have many clients, yoga and massage alike, that experience hip discomfort and sometimes chronic pain. While stretches do not "fix" the underlying problem (e.g. bone and cartilage degeneration, bursitis, inflammation or similar chronic issues), good hip mobility may help alleviate some of the symptoms. As always please see your physician or therapist for proper diagnosis. In the meantime, here are a few of my favourite stretches when I get a few niggles around the hip flexors and / or glutes, try them safely!

01.01.2022 100% yes! Never too late to start strength training. Sarcopenia affects balance, gait, and general functional movements which we take for granted at a younger, more mobile age. Do maintain whatever muscle mass and strength you have, or even better, improve it.

01.01.2022 Another reason to exercise regularly!
