25.01.2022 This last week has been one full of absolute magic! From spending last Friday evening sharing in wine, laughs, and creating lasting memories with family and friends (both two and four legged) at the Farm. This pic is of my little family and it makes me burst with love and pride! Digby who is gently touching my hat was a wild stallion living in the outback Northern Territory only last year and now he is completely part of the tribe! Bessie our golden retriever was a Mum for t...he first this year and Steve and I both supported each other and our little man through soo much growth and change. This photo captures our love, respect and trust for each other. Saturday the horses and I facilitated a Women’s Retreat for nine incredibly powerful and authentic women. The genuine connection shared, the ‘aha’ break through moments and the humbling testimonials had me basking in the nourishing energy this whole week. Our Thoroughbred Heroes youth pilot program also kicked off on Wednesday and even in the rain we were able to enjoy animals and nature together. During the week I was able to slow down and make time for the things and people that I love. I went for a big horse ride around the farm with my mum. Had some lazy mornings playing trucks with Reuben and also spent time watching and playing with the foals and puppies. I absolutely love spring at the farm and the feeling of newness growing all around; new life, new ideas, new connections, new ways of being, new friends and new plans! 14.01.2022 When my partner and I started dating he said that he loved my idea of going on a multi-month trail ride from Queensland down to Victoria. In preparation we headed to the mountains for the weekend for our first training ride. My partners horse liked living on the edge (literally as the edge of the cliff was softer ground for his feet) and with this the whole idea of riding every day for months seemed to become less of a great idea for my partner. While I was having an absolut...e ball my partner was really not. The next day he said he has never had neck muscles ache before (from that scared clench your teeth action) so we had a laugh about it and decided that we didn’t need to go on a big ride to enjoy spending time with horses, we could simply spend more time with our horses and focus on being in the moment with them at home. 04.01.2022 This little girl was only hours old when this photo was taken yesterday afternoon. Her beautiful mum trusted each of our Horse Hero ‘Worrier to Warrior’ youth participants that she let each of them pat and spend time with her little foal too. The first week this group had all worked beautifully to synchronise and slow down their heart rates that a foal felt so at ease they fell asleep in their presence! This made me confident in their ability to support the mare in giving... her reassurance with congruent body language, slow rhythmical heart energy and a gentle mindfulness approach to meeting her little girl. They were each incredible and also great at supporting each other too! I love how when we are in our own inner rhythm or flow, we are able to contribute positively to the lives of others regardless of being different species.
