25.01.2022 Due to the recently announced lockdown we sadly won't be able to meet in person this Sunday. But that doesn't mean we can't meet for worship! We will temporarily revert to our live-streamed Zoom service at our usual time of 10:30am. We hope you can join us!

20.01.2022 Trying something new is always daunting. Having great people around you makes taking a leap of faith just that little bit easier! Here's what Yashar had to say about his Alpha Online experience: "This course gave me the excellent opportunity to be able to re-imagine the whole story of Christianity from the beginning... I would say even if you are not really interested in religion, to see this course as an opportunity to challenge your beliefs and ideas. Just think... there i...s the reason that you read this. As you begin this challenge don’t worry, you are in the right place with the right people." Click here to register today: https://forms.gle/QwWehnCe3WhXtVci6

14.01.2022 N E W S E R I E S T H I S S U N D A Y... "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." Galatians 5:22

14.01.2022 This Sunday we welcome the first guest speaker in our Image of God series - Amy Brown! Amy has the awesome privilege of teaching kids and teenagers about Jesus and help them grow in faith as the Senior Associate Minister for Children and Youth at St Jude’s in Carlton. She has been involved in kids and youth ministry for over 10 years and absolutely loves it. When not investing in the lives of kids and youth, she loves exploring the local walks along the Yarra with her adorable black cavoodle Oscar, and can't wait to be sitting in dog-friendly cafes again really soon! Amy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the topic of the Image of God: Early Years. She will help us understand the special place of young people - from the womb through to school age - in God's eyes, in society and in the church.

12.01.2022 What does it mean to be human? What gives us value and worth? What separates us from the animals? Why do we love, long and learn? What are our responsibilities? What is our purpose? The answers to these questions are found in the Christian doctrine of the Image of God; that we are created by God to reflect and represent who He is and what He does. The Image of God gives us a sure foundation for how to understand and treat other people in all our beautiful diversity and trag...ic brokenness. It helps us make sense of why we long for certain things so deeply. It compels us to serve the most vulnerable, limited and weak among us with dignity and love. Most of all, it brings into glorious focus God's plan to redeem and restore humanity through the death and resurrection of God's Perfect Image, Jesus Christ, bringing us back into the fulness of what our Creator intended. In this series we will hear from a number of guest speakers who will bring their unique experience and knowledge to bear on a particular aspect of being human. Every Sunday will be a unique opportunity to invite a friend who may be interested in a specific topic. As always there will be a Q&A after every sermon, as well as extra time with the speakers after the service.

11.01.2022 We are excited to welcome Dr. Rhys Bezzant this Sunday to preach on The Image of God and Sexuality. Rhys describes himself as a seriously serious coffee drinker. This might have been encouraged when he studied in Germany, but it has certainly been part of living in the inner city of Melbourne for the last 35 years! After leaving University, he worked for the Christian Union at both Monash and Melbourne Universities, then trained for Anglican ministry at Ridley College. While... at St Jude’s Carlton and as Chaplain to the University of Melbourne, his caffeine addiction was further fuelled. Now on the Faculty at Ridley as lecturer in Christian thought, he teaches Reformation History and the History of Evangelical Christianity, along with Christian Worship and a unit on ecclesiology. He lives in Brunswick West. He loves overseas holidays and listening to classical music - an all time favourite is Bach’s Coffee Cantata! He also serves as Canon of St Paul’s Cathedral, Melbourne. Rhys has experienced same-sex attraction his entire life, and so brings a unique perspective to the topic of sexuality and the Christian faith. JOIN US SUNDAY @ 10:30AM.

10.01.2022 Here's what Kieran had to say about his Alpha Online experience: "Why engage in Alpha, you ask? Well, I come from a family upbringing outside the sphere of religion. Not atheistic, just ignorant in the lightest sense of the word. I’d never really thought about religion that much. Sound like you? My interest in exploring Christianity has been growing since marrying my wife, and into a Christian family. However, I let work and other aspects of life delay addressing the fundamen...tal questions of my (and our) existence. In retrospect, I’d avoided them because they were too hard. This year (2020) provided time to think, though. The COVID/Zoom reality gave us the perfect opportunity to begin our journey with the Alpha course, facilitated through Inner West Church. It’s a forum to meet with complete strangers on the same journey and contemplate the hard questions, without prejudice or expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed the course, and we’re sure you will too."
