15.01.2022 Please consider coming to this rally on Sunday. The State Government is intending to cut all funding to disability advocacy organisations next year. We really need to secure and permanent funding for these critically important advocacy services.

14.01.2022 BREAKING: deafening cheers from a packed out chamber as Council resolved to commence work on the new Ashfield Aquatic Centre! The Greens ensured that the project kept its focus on what our community needs most: public, accessible recreation for all. We ensured the second outdoor pool will have a 'floating floor' which means it is a pool for everyone: at 10-20cm it is a splash pool for kids, at 1.5m it is great for aquarobics, and at full depth it is a regional water polo pool. It won't be open this Summer as the works required will take over a year. But when completed, it will be a vital high-quality community facility for Ashfield and beyond for most of the 21st century!

12.01.2022 Save Globe Wilkins A fantastic grassroots campaign, working with local Councillors, to save an outstanding public preschool!

04.01.2022 OVERWHELMING SUPPORT FROM LOCAL GOVT NSW FOR DEMERGERS 22 Oct 2018 There was overwhelming support for council demergers from delegates to the annual NSW Loca...l Government Conference in Albury today, who passed the following resolution: That Local Government NSW 1. Gives solidarity with the people of Tumbarumba and Gundagai as they seek to demerge from their forcibly amalgamated councils and similarly supports any other communities that seek to demerge from a forcibly amalgamated council, and 2. Lobbies for a change to the Local Government Act to prevent the forced amalgamation of councils or significant boundary alteration without the support of a plebiscite. Community members who attended from Tumbarumba and Gundagai, also members of Save Our Councils Coalition, congratulated delegates for supporting communities across NSW who have had their councils forcibly merged and want to #DemergeNow SOCC Media Release 22 Oct 2018 https://savehuntershill.files.wordpress.com//socc-media-re See more
