19.01.2022 Innisfail Family Health would like to assure patients that we are not closed. We do not need extra deep cleaning and have, as yet, had no confirmed cases through our surgery. Our practice has instituted a number of procedures to help protect staff and patients. Including: temperature checks, symptoms checks, cleaning protocols and telephone consultations.

18.01.2022 We have already been telling our patients about this line.

12.01.2022 Please, take this information seriously!! https://www.qld.gov.au//corona/take-action/self-quarantine

09.01.2022 Have you heard that Pap Smear testing has changed in Australia? The Pap test has been replaced with a new Cervical Screening Test every five years. The latest medical and scientific evidence shows that having a Cervical Screening Test every five years is just as safe and is more effective than having a Pap test every two years. The test is a quick and simple procedure to check the health of your cervix. For you, if you have ever had a Pap test before, the way the test is done... will look and feel the same. The procedure might be a bit uncomfortable, but it shouldn't hurt. If it hurts, tell your healthcare provider straight away. Remember, you can always ask for a female clinician. Just reminding you that we have 2 female doctors in our clinic: Dr. Georgeta Deac and Dr. Samia Alves. Call us and make an appointment: 4061 2985. Have a Great Friday.

07.01.2022 FYI. Read it, please.

06.01.2022 We are now offering Telehealth consultations for all patients, so you don’t have to leave home to talk to your GP unless you need to see them in person. A Telehealth appointment is just like a standard GP appointment but conducted over the phone. Your GP will go through the normal procedures of asking about your symptoms (if you have any) and assessing potential diagnoses. You can also get scripts for medicine or discuss any general health concerns. All you need for a Telehea...lth call is a phone and a quiet place to speak with your Doctor. Please know that our practice is STILL OPEN you can still make a face-to-face appointment with a Doctor however in accordance with COVID-19 advice, we encourage patients to practice social distancing where possible which is what makes Telehealth so great. PS: If you are feeling unwell or have flu-like symptoms, remember to call the practice before coming. To book your Telehealth appointment, please call us on 40612985

05.01.2022 It's time to be SMART. Protect yourself and the ones you care about.

05.01.2022 Queenslanders should Slip on protective clothing, Slop on minimum SPF30 broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen, Slap on a broad-brimmed hat, Seek shade and Slide on wrap-around sunnies when outdoors to best reduce their risk of skin cancer. If you have any questions regarding your skin, book an appointment with one of our doctors. We also have a skin cancer specialist: Dr Denness.
