They will be playing 72 Holes of Golf in the one day. 22.01.2022 The morning started off with the Annual General Meeting which was a successful meeting, it was great to see so much support from the members and some new faces on the committee to give the long serving members a break. All members that attended the AGM were eligible for the BONUS prizes from Golf World. John Lombardi was the first to come in with 37pts and everyone was hanging on edge. Cindy Cockle came in keeping her card c...lose to her chest after shooting 3 under her handicap landing her 39pts. It was an anxious wait to see if anyone came in with a better score. In walked Lance Masina after having a blinder round with a total of 40 points and securing the win. Unfortunately, Lance didn’t make it to the AGM and missed out on the bonus prize. Leaving Cindy to pick up the Bonus Prize of $200 from Golf World and a very happy Lombo who picked up the $100 Golf World voucher. 21.01.2022 Innisfail Junior Open 2020 Results The rain stayed away but the heat came out and so did the Juniors, with a field of 41 Juniors competing. Congratulations to all the juniors on a fantastic day, there were plenty of red numbers on the board especially in the 9 Novice and 9 Modified divisions ... The best nett scores in the 18 holes were Abby 66 and Caine 67. Congratulations to Ryan Mann and Amelia Harris for taking out the Best Gross in the 18 holes. Thank you to the endless volunteers, from the 3G Network that keep our course looking fabulous, to all the parents who helped us on the day and to the Sponsors, Top End Apps, Ernie's Cupcakes & Sweets and Empire Cafe & Catering. 21.01.2022 Mount Garnet Junior Open 2020 On the weekend 5 of our Juniors headed out west to compete in the Mount Garnet Junior Open. Saturday was about fun, swimming, long drive & NTP comp, a bit of golf, a bit a pool, spotlight, plenty of food & camping. While new friendships were made. Sunday morning the juniors were all keen ready for their rounds after a nice feed of bacon & eggs.... Winners from Innisfail Golf Club were: 18 Hole Nett Winner ~ Caine Cockle (61 Nett) 9 Novice Gross Winner ~ Regina Gattera (56 Gross) 9 Modified Nett Runner Up ~ Max Costello (33 Nett) 6 Modified Gross Winner ~ Sam Costello (32 Gross) Thank you to all the volunteers for a great weekend and thank you to Tom Mcewan for organising the event. #innisfailgolfclub #fnqjuniors #juniorgolf

They won their Divisions in the Junior Golf QLD & FNQ Player of the Year Thanks to our Junior Co-ordinators Jake & Cindy & many thanks to the parents/grandparents who took the time to get our Juniors to all the events... Junior Golf Queensland District Points Challenge The JGQ District Points Challenge is a series of events, five per District, which have been nominated by participating Districts of Golf Queensland. Points are allocated according to where participants finish in the field in each event with 10 points for 1st Nett, 9 points for 2nd etc. RESULTS: Caine Cockle 18 Hole Boys Winner Regina Gattera 9 Hole Novice Girls Winner Ryan Gattera 9 Hole Novice Boys Winner FNQ Junior Golfer of the Year The district Junior Golfer of the Year is determined by points being allocated for their gross and nett scores at all FNQ Junior Tournaments held within the district. 09.01.2022 You are legally required to sign in and out of the Innisfail Golf Club. The Queensland Government made an announcement which requires our club to move away from paper-based systems when collecting contact tracing information. Therefore, when you are attending the Club, you will be required to register your attendance electronically by scanning our QR Code to submit your details.... Our QR Codes are available in multiple locations in the Clubhouse, in the walkways and on the wall at the Honesty Box. . If you do not have a smart phone please ask another Member to register your attendance using their smart phone or alternatively you can ask one of our volunteers. Please do the right thing and keep our club safe.

Thank you to all the visitors who came to play & we hope you enjoyed your weekend & we look forward to seeing you next year Our Club Champion Andrew Rose started with an opening round of 67 (3 Under) to hold of Gordonvale Golf Club club Champ Jessie Hanigan 70. Rosie held it together on Sunday to shoot a very impressive 140 (Par) for the 2 day comp & seal the win! Allan Gould played well over the 2 days to seal the Nett prize With 2 B Grade Open Titles under his belt, Ian Street was going to be hard to beat on his home track. Shooting 73 on Day 1, put Streety in the box seat over the closest D Thach, 7 shots back. Streety played consistent golf on Sunday to hold off the field & claim his 3rd open Tittle! Craig Alman opened the championship with a solid 84, just in front of John "Lombo" Lombardi & K Thompson. With John Abbott shooting best nett for the day of 67. Pete Walters came flying out of the pack to shoot the only red number fo the comp on Sunday & picked up the Gross title! Craig Alman rallied with his putter to pick up the Nett prize. Addi Butorac was going to be hard to beat on her home course & put together 2 great rounds to claim the gross tittle. Deb Smith played consistently over the 2 days to get the Nett prize over Connis Kaipara by one shot! It was a tough battle in Division 2 with Glynnis McGrath & Cindy Cockle tied on Day 1. Cindy held it together on the back nine on Sunday to claim the Gross prize & Glynnis won the Nett prize by one shot over Via Chapman! 06.01.2022 3 @ Well done to all the players that got the chance to play Pennants for our club. There were some new faces in the team this year & everyone gave their best to get us into the Finals. Unfortunately, we didn't make the finals in A, B or C Grade, but we have a strong team of players ready for next year!... Trent Mann, Ian Street & Bob Butorac won their matches to give the A Graders their first win for the season. Well done to Bobby "The Arizona Flusher" on a big win! Lance Masina come on board for the B Grade team & played extremely well against a tough opponent to claim his first win! Joel Saunders also got up in his match & our Captain Luke Peters was soooo close to getting the win, but just missed out on the 20th hole! 2 new players in the C Grade team shot the lights out! Josh Jones & Caine Cockle played their first matches making it look easy with 7/5 & 6/5 wins! Rauno Lehtsalu also won his match after being 3 down, so C Grade picked up their first win of the season as well! 05.01.2022 Great to finally have some good weather on the weekend & members out on the course for our Stableford event Sponsored by Top End Apps 39 players took the field on Saturday & 13 Juniors played on Sunday! Thanks to all the volunteers who look after the course, she was in magnificent condition!!... The Saturday morning groups took advantage of little wind and Paul Tattam, Shane Trembath & Addi Butorac played to their handicap for 36 points, leading the field. The afternoon groups struggled in the conditions with only one player bettering his handicap & taking out the comp. Well done to Ian Street for winning the day Great to see so many Juniors out on the course on Sunday. We had a new Junior play his first Junior Comp & grab the best score for the 6 Holers! Troy Singh took out the 9 Holers & Regina Gattera played her best round to date, so well done Our new Junior Aidan Herbert took out the 6 Holers in his first comp, well done Aidan It was the Zadelj Clan in the 3 holers with Oliver winning & Sophie in 2nd place, well done team A great field for the Golfworld.com.au monthly medal. Men's Tournament 31st July to 2nd August C Grade Day 2 Nett Winner - Caine Cockle C Grade Day 2 Nett 3rd - Wombat Johnston Caine finished at 6th place in his grade, this was the highest placing out of the men who travelled to Cairns.
