05.01.2022 Innovec receives contract for the 2019 Tangara Upgrade Customer Challenge: Sydney Trains wanted to upgrade the Tangara Train Sets for s longer life span and safer operation with LED lighting. Their current Guards light had two incandescent light bulbs with an average life span of 3 months Product Solution The Innovec Control LEDGBL (Led Guards blue Light) was suggested. This product is fitted to the outside of the vehicle, is highly visible in three planes, up and down the si...de of the vehicle and directly across the platform, interfaces to the train operating system for better control and incorporates an ambient light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment. With its brighter and larger, high contrast Blue LED display, the LEDGBL enabled the passengers to easily see where the train guard is situated. Results Achieved With its brighter and larger, high contrast Blue LED display, the result was better management of the process which saved time and was more convenient for staff. Sydney Trains said the Innovec LEDGBL met its technical and functional requirements and was a cost-effective solution. INNOVEC LEDGBL Guards Blue Light The Light can be configured to Turn on, Turn off and flash in a security situation from the train operating system. The light is visible up and down the side of the vehicle as well as shining straight across the platform. The product incorporates a light sensor that automatically adjusts the light output for ambient light conditions. It is also supplied in a shatterproof housing manufactured from Random Co-Polymer Polypropylene with1% UV stabiliser. See more
