23.01.2022 It's National Safe Work Month (1-31 October)! Osteopathy Australia member, Heath Williams has shared some handy information on how you might optimise your heal...th and productivity in the home environment! Working from home has become the new norm for many Australians in 2020, and a consequence of this may be the development of common musculoskeletal complaints such as neck pain, shoulder pain, upper limb and lower back pain. Many of these complaints are likely to be a result of static or awkward working postures and repetitive work tasks. Consulting your osteopath may help you to identify and eliminate common workstation hazards that may increase your risk of developing musculoskeletal strains and sprains. To find out more how your osteopath may assist you, visit www.osteopathy.org.au/about-osteopathy You can find a local osteopath in your area with our Find an Osteo search tool: www.osteopathy.org.au/find-an-osteo

23.01.2022 UPDATED ADVICE FOR OSTEO TREATMENT Overnight we have received further clarification from the DHHS on the requirement of a GP referral overnight. You will not require a referral but appointments will be for Urgent cases or to prevent your condition from worsening to a point you will need further care.... Remember: REDUCE MOVEMENT-SAVE LIVES!!! If you think you match this criteria, please call or email me to discuss this further. I will then be able to triage if you do require a face to face appointment or if some advice over the phone/zoom/FaceTime will be able to help you out in the next 6 weeks. You will be able to leave your 5km radius to receive medical treatment but if you do not feel comfortable doing so, please get in touch and I will be able to try find a local practitioner who may be able to help in the short term. Thanks again for your time and if anyone is in need of any help please do not hesitate to contact me, Matthew O'Brien INOMO Health

20.01.2022 Today we celebrate across the world our amazing profession. While we may differ in application, all Osteopaths will apply the same philosophy to achieve an individualised approach to optimising our patient’s health!

19.01.2022 Tonights news about 3051 going in to lockdown will not affect INOMO's business operations as we are still considered an essential service as per when we were in National/State Stage 3 restrictions. If living outside you will still be able to travel to appointments as it is traveling for health care. For anyone wanting to cancel their appointment until restrictions ease there will be of course full understanding and no cancellation charges. As per my original COVID-19 post I have no doubt the current pandemic will bring about some amazing positive changes. #osteopathy #health #strongertogether

19.01.2022 Headache is one of the commonest types of pain people experience. Your head and upper neck, eyes, ears, nasal sinuses, skin, muscle, joints and arteries are all... extremely pain sensitive...and create that 'headache feeling', but your brain itself is insensitive to pain. Osteopaths are trained in clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and support for a range of musculoskeletal conditions and pain management - including headaches. Read our Treatment FAQ's www.osteopathy.org.au/abo/what-is-osteopathy/treatment-faqs

18.01.2022 INOMO Health will be closed for the 4 days of the Easter break. If you are in need of an urgent appointment, please call or message and arrangements for an appointment may be made. Have a happy Easter, Matthew O'Brien

02.01.2022 A great post as a part of National Pain Week that highlights that many people have "low back pain", however the cause, nature and experience of the pain will change from person to person. The best option is to seek professional help from someone who will create an individualised plan for the type of pain you're experiencing and the lifestyle you live. If this sounds like what you need to get on top of your pain, do not hesitate to get in touch with INOMO Health #painweek #osteopathsofmelbourne #health #osteopathy #StrongerTogether #northmelbourne

01.01.2022 Your feet do a lot of work as you walk, run and move! Painful feet can make everything that much harder. When you visit your osteopath, they will not only look ...at your feet but observe the way you move the rest of your body - to help identify any problems. Visit the Osteopathy Australia website and learn more about what osteopaths do and how they may assist you.
