19.01.2022 Check out some of the incredible shark life that is lurking beneath the Ichthys LNG offshore facilities. Note to self, do not fall overboard! These pictures were taken by a mini remotely operated vehicle (ROV) deployed directly over the side of the Ichthys LNG central processing facility (CPF) and the floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) facility. The ROV is an underwater robot operated by Geo Oceans that is kitted out with various tooling and sensors, to car...ry out work such as inspection, measurements, cleaning and remediation. The CPF and FPSO are moored in water about 250m deep approximately 220 kilometres off the northwest coast of Australia, in the Ichthys Field.

18.01.2022 The INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG onshore facilities in Darwin are supported by dozens of contractors in the Northern Territory. The work has enabled the contractors to not only survive but thrive and employ hundreds of staff, most of them born and bred in the NT. Many companies have taken on local apprentices on the back of long-term work scopes and, for some, INPEX provides a significant portion of their base work. Gemma Mackett of PCM, a Territory family-owned industrial ...maintenance company, says the firms INPEX contract held through major contractor Trace is important to everyone at the business. The thing we are most proud of is that all our staff are 100 percent local, she says. Securing our contract each year cements all the families we employ with the stability they need for the future. Be sure to check-out the latest edition of TerritoryQ for more info about how we are supporting the NT. Photo some of the PCM crew. http://www.territoryq.com.au/inpex-subbies-thrive/ See more
