18.01.2022 It’s been such a pleasure being able to spoil Brigetta today. She was nominated by Workways employment to have a pamper session today including colour, cut, mas...sage and style blowdry. 19 years ago Brigetta lost her hands and feet after falling sick, and as a result was unable to do hairdressing anymore. Over that time she has re trained herself to do nearly everything. She’s still able to wax her friends Eyebrows which is incredible! Bernie from Workways said her hand writing is one of the neatest she has seen! There’s really no stopping her, and know that she could do anything she puts her mind to! Brigetta, You are an inspiration, and you a such a beauty inside and out. We are so glad you enjoyed your day with us and especially the massage! Now everyone! It’s your turn to nominate someone you think deserves a bit of pampering! Whether it’s a local volunteer, or a mother that never gets time to her self. 06.01.2022 TAMPONS!! So glad that caught your attention! Boys, don’t go away, this is for you too!... You know the feeling when you realise you just got your period and you don’t have a tampon? Or when you’re in a public bathroom and you forgot to bring pads with you AND there’s not toilet paper to use instead? Worst feeling ever, right? Some women experience this every month due to homelessness they have to use old newspaper instead on sanitary items. To me, that’s seems so awful! I want to help these girls out, and it would be amazing if you did too. All you’ve got to do is bring a pack of pads or tampons to school on Tuesday, and we’ll come to your SLP class and collect it. If you donate, you’ll also be in the running to win an End Game ticket. We are seeking donations of new/unused sanitary items, toiletries and pre-loved handbags. We’ve partnered up with a charity called Share the Dignity and need you to help us. As I said, all you have to do is bring something to school this Tuesday (week 9) and we’ll come and get it off you. Not too comfortable with that? No worries! We will have a box in G11 where you can donate anonymously or just message me and I’ll grab it off you. I really hope that you all help us out, every single donation counts. When I say ‘you all’ I mean boys as well! Nothing’s more attractive than a boy who isn’t afraid when it comes to that kind of thing? Am I right?
