23.01.2022 insideEDGE Sport and Leisure Planning are pleased to have played a small role in supporting Bass Coast Shire Council Council in the early planning of this new indoor stadium at the Wonthaggi Secondary College. Our Sport and Active Needs Assessment and expertise regarding shared use school facilities in 2016 paved the way for more detailed planning and design work. The multi-purpose stadium will address the current and future demand for basketball and other indoor sports in the South Gippsland Region. Congratulations to all parties who advocated strongly for this project over many years and to Council and Victorian Government for their significant funding contribution.

23.01.2022 Last week we were pleased to see the launch of the NSW Football Infrastructure Strategy, which was commissioned in response to an independent audit of 1000 community football facilities, comprising 2200 individual pitches throughout 2018 and 2019. 05.01.2022 Our Sports Facility Auditor (SFA) Local Government (LGA) program is in full swing across Melton City Council this month. With restrictions starting to lift at many outdoor sports facilities, we have been auditing Council’s outdoor sports facility assets and sporting infrastructure to identify the location, rate condition, measure size, check compliance and identify defects. 49 sites and over 500 individual assets in 4 weeks will be a solid program, but its made easier with SFA-LGA collecting and managing data. Power BI dashboards are also being used to plan inspection schedules and visualise collected data. #council #assets #compliance #localgovernment
