24.01.2022 Having a great day at NW Facilitator Training for the Unstuck Anxiety support program. Here is our felt friend by the sea side teaching us about the acute stress response Thank you Burnie Surf Life Saving Club for supporting us with this lovely venue.

24.01.2022 Not having someone in your life for any reason (not just bereavement) is a reason to grieve. This is why our facilitators keep showing up and why early intervention matters

23.01.2022 DRUMROLL PLEASE Inside Out 4 Kids is now rolling out programs in the NW! We are SO excited to be able to connect with more schools and children with our emotional literacy and wellbeing programs! Please reach out if you would like to see our smiling faces in your school by emailing [email protected] or by calling Louise on 6335 3032.

20.01.2022 This little gem of a card game is called Slapzi. Whenever we choose opening games for our sessions we look for a few things: 1. Quick to set up and explain in under a minute 2. Picture-based, so all levels of literacy can play wholeheartedly 3. An element of chance over skill so anyone can win 4. Not too much turn-taking or waiting around for others... Slapzi fits the bill perfectly. Thanks again to Gamesworld Plus for their donation. We may have even engaged in some professional development in the office

20.01.2022 Getting all our resources ready in the office today for our NW Training events later in the week. Every occasion is worthy of fairy lights #evenadmin

14.01.2022 Purchase up big! These stores do a great job of supporting the work we do. Grab a bargain this week

14.01.2022 As parents, carers, educators and facilitators we need to retrain our brains to sit with children through their big feelings and wobbly moments instead of trying to solve their problems for them or disempowering them by telling them they are okay, that they are fine or to get on with things. There is so much value and opportunity for learning in validating those tricky emotions, responding with empathy and asking ourselves: What does my child need?... What is my child feeling? What is my child thinking? See more

14.01.2022 Our lovely friends at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School brought along stickers and textas today to donate to Inside Out 4 Kids and oh my goodness did they blow us away! There is something just so beautiful about kids showing up for kids. The generosity and kindness of these young students is simply amazing! Happy end of term to everyone!

12.01.2022 There is a version of anxiety in children (and adults) that looks positive. It might look conscientious, organised and caring. These are wonderful traits for humans to have, but when the driving force is anxiety, these traits can arise out of fear. A fear of making mistakes, fear of what other people might think, a fear of getting into trouble or a fear that if they don't plan properly then bad things will happen. We want our kids to be motivated by joy, not anxiety. When it comes to kids and feeling worried or anxious, it's never too early to start the conversation, or to get help.
