25.01.2022 Red - used in moderation it can really pack a punch. We love Pomodoro from Porter's Paints as seen here on the fireplace. It has just enough oomph whilst still remaining reserved.

21.01.2022 We are passionate Colour Connoisseurs and start all our projects delving into how our clients want to feel in their spaces. Armed with that information we head straight to the Colour Wheel. This is one Colour Wheel I would be happy to dive into especially during our time off when we can have fun. 21.01.2022 Time to freshen up the exterior of your home? We've been inundated with requests for colour consultations as everyone has been spending more time around the house. A change of colour is as good as a holiday! Contact us if you would like a new scheme for your home, inside or out. Photographer - Vision Photography

21.01.2022 Love this! Everything we do as designers, even the aesthetic decisions, is in service of creating a space tailored to your needs.

20.01.2022 This bathroom was formerly a bedroom so when the wardrobe was removed it became the perfect nook for a vanity. As this bathroom will be used by the occasional house guest as well as visitors only one basin was required. This meant we could install a very long bench and lots and lots of that all important storage. 19.01.2022 It's warming up and time to plan summer parties and seasonal events. With a kitchen that opens straight onto the outdoor bbq and entertaining area, our Roseville kitchen will be getting a great workout. Photographer - Vision Photography

17.01.2022 When we undertake an External Colour Consultation we don't only select paint colours for the house! Some things need to be hidden away but not this cute pool filter box. It deserved to be just as pretty as the main home. Photographer - Lyn Johnston Photography

15.01.2022 For most of us red is an exciting colour. Red roses are a favourite romantic gift as they stimulate intense emotions. The same principle applies when using red in the home. A red wall in the entry, for example, suggests bold opulence and incites a strong emotional response. Its intensity should be avoided in more peaceful areas of the home like bedrooms and bathrooms, but would work fabulously in dining rooms or living rooms as an assertive statement of style. 15.01.2022 Almost twelve months ago to the day we finished this beautiful bathroom. Top of the wishlist for the ensuite was a deep luxurious freestanding bath. The Kaldewei Centro Duo was the answer. Photographer - Sue Stubbs, Stylist - Samantha Torrisi, Builder KMK Solutions

15.01.2022 When selecting a new paint colour for this home, we took into consideration the colours in the tiles around the pool so everything would co-ordinate seamlessly. Painter - Painters KMK

14.01.2022 This laundry was below ground with only obscured glass on the door to outside. So to make it feel fun and bright we chose a soft white for the cabinetry and benchtops, fun yellow tiles for the splashback and then painted the ceiling a seagreen. The room came alive and you wouldn't know it was subterranean. Photography by SNPhotographys

13.01.2022 Happy Black Friday! Some people argue that black isn't really a colour. It's considered a non-colour because it doesn't reflect light. But when it comes to using colour, black plays an important role. It has timelessness that transcends trends. Photography by SN Photographys

10.01.2022 Merry Christmas! Two years ago we were in NYC hoping for a white Christmas. It didn't eventuate but we did manage to have a meal at Rolf's in Manhattan which is known for its OTT Christmas Decorations. It was so much fun.

09.01.2022 For explosive colour impact, you can't go past the exotic, seductive look of berry shades and all their iterations. As the colours of royalty, purple and berry shades are intrinsically linked with ideas of luxury and opulence. From light to dark, these shades suggest something special. 08.01.2022 A heritage listed home doesn't have to be stuck with heritage colours. We chose a fresh, timeless scheme for this grand old dame: Dulux Limed White Half, Dulux Domino and Dulux Antique White USA. Photographer - Lyn Johnston Photography

08.01.2022 Isn't it lovely waking up today and realising you still have another public holiday? I've mixed it up this staycation with a bit of gardening, a bit of baking, went to the movies and took our dog Luna for a big walk. What have you been up to?

07.01.2022 Wishing our lovely clients the very best for their home Auction tomorrow. We designed the bathrooms, kitchen and selected paint colours inside and out for this wonderful family home. Time for a new family to enjoy all it has to offer.

07.01.2022 This weekend I'm dreaming about travel and hope to one day get back to New York. Where would you like to visit once the borders open and we can travel again?

07.01.2022 There's nothing better than a great entry. Foremost when selecting colours for this apartment building, we really wanted everyone who entered to feel welcome. Photographer - Vision Photography

05.01.2022 When creating a scheme for a room, there's always a different starting place. In this home our clients had this beautiful Asian cabinet which they treasured. So taking our cues from that, we chose Chippendale chairs for the dining room but left the carvers flanking the cabinet. The new lounge furniture included two slipper chairs which we covered with a striking red fabric. Photographer - Lyn Johnston Photography

03.01.2022 To niche or not to niche? Where possible we like to build a niche into a shower or bath wall. However, it's not always possible and depends on the age and construction of the wall. Having somewhere to store the shampoo and soap at an easily accessible level is the key to a tidy bathroom and when we can't install a recessed niche, the next best option is a glass shelf or two but make sure they are out of the way of elbows. 02.01.2022 Custom Cushions - they're one of our favourite pieces. They help to bring a room together by incorporating or contrasting the other colours of the space. We will discuss with you the ideal shape, your preferred fill, source a selection of fabrics and then arrange for them to be made and delivered. They are the icing on the cake of any room! 02.01.2022 Being a passionate cook, I love designing kitchens, and being a neat freak, I love storage, so when I can combine the two I'm in my happy place. Our clients entertain A LOT, so we designed these two stations adjacent to the dining table. One for the bar with all the glassware, bottles, jiggers and shakers within reach. The other houses the cutlery and crockery so setting the table doesn't interrupt the cook. And then there's beautiful pocket doors to hide it all away and they can deal with the mess in the morning.

01.01.2022 Happy New Year! Hopefully the Sun dawns bright and sunny on 2021, I think we could all use it!
