18.01.2022 Its true that violence is linked to mental illnessjust not in the way that ignorant politicians and media suggest. Violence is a significant CAUSE of menta...l and emotional distress. Blaming violence on people diagnosed with mental illness is not unlike blaming terrorism on Muslim people. Its untrue, unjust and only serves to feed hate, discrimination and allow the real causes of violence to continue unchecked. Like misogyny, racism, homophobia, and a lack of gun control. I send solidarity out to all those who, like me, are continuously scapegoated for societal and political failings.
18.01.2022 Ive just spent 15 minutes trying to pull together a sentence that does justice to the incredible work of Indigo Daya and all the amazing December Letters volunteers... and now I need to give up on putting words to this and get to work. Deep respect and appreciation to all of you for every heartwarming and hope inspiring word you have written as part of this project.

03.01.2022 Weve been quiet for a little while - partly a needed break from social media, partly just having to focus on adjusting (inside out and ourselves) to this new world and partly because its hard to know what is most useful to share at the moment. But this post seems like a pretty good place to get back on the social media wagon. Well be trying to find a balance but still working out what that looks like... and assuming that will change over time, or even between today and tomorrow. But one thing we really want to acknowledge and celebrate is what critical MH perspectives and lived expertise bring to the world right now as we navigate through this crisis.
