15.01.2022 This is seriously the easiest dessert ever!!! And tastes like a snickers. All you need is medjool dates (make sure they’re fresh so they’re still fresh and caramel-ly). Then you slice them, take the pit out and fill with salted peanut butter. So simple! If you’re feeling a bit fancy you could add some cacao nibs or melted chocolate to kick it up a notch.... Enjoy! #food #healthfood

14.01.2022 With all the fun we’ve had lately over Christmas and New Year, I’m sure there’s a good chunk of you feeling a little sluggish and in need of a bit of a flush and reset. These are 10 super simple things you can incorporate into your day to help your body to naturally detox without needing any supplements. 1. Lemon water- flushes the digestive tract and stimulates digestive juices, allowing for our food nutrients to be absorbed more easily and toxins to be more easily pooped ou...t of the body. It also adds electrolytes to your water to hydrate the body better and boosts immunity/ improves skin health with its vitamin c content. 2. Dandelion Root tea- stimulates kidney and liver detox. 3. Morning sunshine- sets your body clock for better quality sleep and falling asleep earlier/easier. 4. Tracking water intake- getting 2 litres of water in keeps every cell in your body hydrated and flushes toxins and excess hormones out of the body. 5. Sleeping by 10- if you can fall asleep by 10pm, most of the body’s repairing happens between 10pm and midnight. 6. Eat 10 different vegetables or fruit daily- the more plant diversity you have in your diet, the more nutrients you get from your food, as well as it gives different food to our good gut bacteria which keeps them happy and healthy. 7. 20 minutes daily movement- this increase energy, improves dopamine (our happy neurotransmitter) and moves our lymphatic fluid for detox and weight loss. 8. Dry skin brushing- by using a brush to move our lymphatic fluid, it’s reduces cellulite, improves immunity and flushes excess fluid. Such easy things that can make such a huge impact! Which ones will you incorporate? #detox #health

11.01.2022 Last year was a year of lessons for me. How to pivot when unexpected circumstances pop up, to be more flexible, but most of all how easy it is to fall into patterns of not taking care of myself. Last year made 18 months of no time off for more than 1 day except once when I had a 2 day weekend. That wasn’t healthy and I burnt out. I had pneumonia, insomnia, weight gain and anxiety. All because I was caring for everyone else except myself. So my promise to myself this year af...ter not scheduling recuperation time at all last year was to put my health first so that I could give to my patients, family and friends from a filled cup. So this weekend, I have scheduled myself a long weekend with my hubby to unwind, relax and get into nature. I’ll be in clinic tomorrow if anyone needs anything, at @niim.melbourne on Wednesday and then back on Monday. Nakara will be manning the emails on Saturday for any urgent requests. But for me I’ll be soaking up the beach, the Bush, probably too much food (as usual) and lots of fresh air. Remember to take care of yourselves loves What is your favourite self care act? #selflove #selfcare

05.01.2022 This oil is a little genie in a bottle. Quoted from Vogue Magazine Meet the New Floral Oil That Will Radically Change Your Skin. Blue Tansy’s flower is actually yellow in colour, but once the oil is extracted one of it compounds called chamazulene turns a deep gorgeous blue. Chamazulene is a huge scavenger of free radicals (the toxins etc that cause damage to the cells of our body and our skin), is hugely antioxidant and promotes overall cellular health.... Topically it is particularly good for any inflamed skin conditions including rosacea, eczema, dermatitis, angry inflamed acne and even red allergy reactions due to its inflammation fighting abilities. When used aromatically in the diffuser, it is also great for uplifting and calming the mood, lowers histamine reactions, and can positively impact hormonal secretions. I’ll be sending out the monthly essential oils newsletter today with a skin loving DIY serum recipe, so drop your email in the inbox if you’d like a copy If you would like to get your hands on this beautiful blue oil and any other essential oils, don’t forget that you can 25% off all doterra essential oils through Inside Out Natural Medicine, plus anyone who opens a new doterra account this month gets a free Adaptiv tranquillity blend oil valued at $54.67. Link in the bio to sign up for a doterra account or you can inbox me to set it up for you #skin #health

03.01.2022 PAPAYA This fruit powerhouse is delicious but also a tool for great digestion. The fruit contains digestive enzymes to help break down and absorb other nutrients and the seeds when used in small quantities helps to expel parasites and worms from the gut. #guthealth #food
