This year I have taken a different approach to my comp prep - food wise as well as mind set. . . Food is food. There's no good or bad foods when it comes to loosing fat. It's all about that calorie decifit. . . I made myself a goal to have an enjoyable prep by incorperating the 80/20 rule. (80% whole foods, 20% cravings/dirty foods). . . I eat 5 meals a day. Every morning I wake up and think about what I am REALLY craving.. so I enter that particular food first and I MAKE it fit my macros. And guess what. I STILL STAY in a calorie decifit. Who knew . . . Eating this way has kept me mentally sane and hasnt felt like I've been dieting this whole time! 13.01.2022 I just need some motivation We’ve all said it or thought it, especially when it comes to working on our health & fitness. Motivation is a powerful, yet tricky beast. Sometimes we find ourselves wrapped up in a whirlwind of excitement. Other times we’re trapped in a death spiral of procrastination. I don’t want to burst anyone’s bubble but I am here to tell you that motivation is an emotion and we can’t depend on our emotions to do things or to become successful in lif...e! You can’t just rely on waking up at 5.30am and think I hope I feel motivated to hit the gym today Like most emotions, motivation comes and goes and it usually comes AFTER starting a new behaviour, NOT before. Don’t rely on motivation to reach a goal; Set SMALL, ACHIEVABLE, DAILY, ACTION STEPS - The motivation will be intrinsic Make sure these action steps you have set for yourself will move you toward an end goal - Nothing is more demotivating than not MOVING FORWARDS Turn these daily actions into RITUALS, a series of tasks done in the same way each time This takes out the need to think which can lead to overwhelm and procrastination. 07.01.2022 CLIENT APPRECIATION What a transformation It’s been a privilege working with @marc.tmo so far and I am so proud of what he has accomplished!! ... Marc was already training prior to coaching with me but had little understanding of structural balance, energy balance, didn’t really have a plan and was avoiding some key lifts due to a shoulder impingement. Our first goal was to lose some body fat, get him moving better and rehabilitate his shoulder to create a healthy foundation for growth. Marc went from 16.2% BF down to 9.2% BF in the first 16 weeks then we reverse dieted, until reaching a new baseline and creating a small calorie surplus so we could build. Fast forward to now Marc is eating more calories then ever, looking incredible and feeling stronger then ever! Next goal is to continue building calories up and get Marc really strong whilst maintaining a relatively lean physique.
