GUT-HEALING VEGETABLE BROTH PREP TIME... 5 mins COOK TIME 1 hour TOTAL TIME 1 hour 5 mins A nutritious, gut-healing broth as a vegan alternative to bone broth. If you don't like or can't find any ingredients, don't worry. Add what flavours you like and try to get as much variety and nutritional goodness as you can! Serves: 8 INGREDIENTS 12 cups (2 litres) filtered water 1 tbsp coconut oil or extra-virgin olive oil 1 red onion, quartered (with skins) 1 garlic bulb, smashed 1 chilli pepper, roughly chopped (with seeds) 1 knob ginger, roughly chopped (with skin) 1 cup greens such as kale or spinach 3-4 cup mixed chopped vegetables and peelings (I used carrot peelings, red cabbage, fresh mushrooms, leeks and celery) cup dried shiitake mushrooms 30g dried wakame seaweed 1 tbsp peppercorns 2 tbsp ground turmeric 1 tbsp coconut aminos* A bunch of fresh corriander or other herb of your choice (plus extra, to serve) (optional) cup nutritional yeast, for extra flavour and vitamins INSTRUCTIONS Simply add everything to a large pot. Bring to a boil then simmer, with the lid on, for about an hour. Once everything has been cooked down, strain the liquid into a large bowl. Serve immediately with some fresh herbs, for decoration or cool for later. It also freezes well.

09.01.2022 Getting motivated to go to the gym or exercise in general is hard work for some especially if your new to it; your tired; life is busy or even you much rather relax on the couch after work. I should know I find it hard myself. I personally hate exercising and find it hard to motivate myself to go especially after a serious injury stopped me from doing any exercise for 8months where I got into some bad habbits of being lazy. So why do I do it if I hate it so much? Because fact... is its good for us not only physically but also emotionally. I want to be the best I can be on all levels of myself. I want to be the healthiest I can be and to ensure my past medical conditions dont come back. I force myself to ensure I keep this lifestyle change so I can have optimal vitality. So you have a choice you can find your motivation so you can be the best you possibly can be or you can find every excuse in the book not to do it. Just know only you can make the choice to make YOU better and if you dont change your mindset and make the effort to make the changes required whether it be exercise; diet; work; life etc nothing else will change. 02.01.2022 Yesterday, 5 April, a Sydney naturopath was sentenced to jail. Inverted commas are used as the media has misreported this important fact. FACT: Marilyn Bodnar had no training in naturopathy. FACT: She had training as a nurse, midwife and massage therapist. She was registered with an association as a massage therapist.... FACT: She was able to call herself a naturopath as there are currently no laws protecting the title and restrict its use to those appropriately qualified. Always ensure your naturopath has the right qualifications and is a member of an association as a naturopath not some other modality. This is your health so you cannot get complacent. To confirm i am a qualified naturopath, nutritionist and herbalist and registered with the naturopathic and herbalist association of australia - member number 155994.
