06.01.2022 We are very proud to present our latest Playspace Project, The Tamworth Regional Playground, which was opened by the T.R.C. Mayor in early December 2015.

05.01.2022 Congratulations to Monash City Council and Playce Pty Ltd VIC for taking out the PLA Award for Excellence for Playspace Major at the recent Awards night. We were very proud to be nominated but unfortunately our Tamworth Playspace didn't win the National P.L.A. Award of Excellence but we did get some amazing feedback from the Judges. Judges comments:... - Great integration of aligned facilities that will encourage visitation by a wider range of users. Clever use of materials and finishes to reduce the maintenance over the life of the facility - A lovely space for children and families. - Inclusions such as touch totems, splash pad and a rhythm wall are creative ways to provide play opportunities for all abilities. The introduction of a cafe/restaurant increases appeal to potential users, provides increased activity in the area which in turn increases the value of the development. It is unfortunate that the river couldn't be brought into the scene by developing along the levy and diverting the "through" pathway, but there may be considerations that prevented this. - Significant collaboration with development partners and consultants has given the playground a contemporary edge with great use of technology but additional detail about the community consultation process would have been valuable. The playground's wide range of activities, capacity to hold a variety of events and inclusion of a cafe give this project something of a placemaking quality. Including some natural elements helps to soften the ample built form but maybe more could have been incorporated to improve the overall balance. The inclusion of so many activities and opportunities for events through available facilities suggests the site will have appeal for the long term. Development of the site looks holistic and well planned. Good assessment of lifecycle and maintenance costing is a must in today's economic climate. Good use of technology to assist with maintenance and running costs and usability.
