01.01.2022 FINALIST - DR ALLISON RIFAI IGEM's own, Allison Rifai is the next finalist in the 2020 Champion of Change Awards, for her contributions to research and knowledge brokerage with Queensland's disaster management sector. In 2016, Allison developed a body of work that has gone on to become the Queensland Disaster Management Research Framework. The Framework brings together local and state government disaster management practitioners, not-for-profit originations and researchers.... In 2018, Allison was invited to submit the Framework as chapter in the State Disaster Management Plan, which has now embedded research into state disaster management policy and practice.
