23.01.2022 When we set an intention, we are becoming conscious about how we would like to feel. It is different to a goal as goals tend to have a clear finish line, where as an intention connects us to a feeling we would like to focus on or experience. For example - You might go to the gym because you have a goal to lose weight or get big muscles. You may also have a certain number attached to this. You could, however, look at your goal in another way. Rather than just focusing on the a...ctual number itself, you could set a more expansive intention around feeling healthier/confident/stronger or to prioritise your time doing more of what makes you feel good. Going to the gym then becomes something your choosing to do because it’s supporting your intentions. Setting an intention can also give you a true north to focus on when making decisions. A few years ago I met my youngest sister in Europe for a month while she was travelling the world. We moved around each location by train travelling from London, to parts of France and then Italy. We decided to set a clear intention at the start of the trip that when it came to making big decisions that we would always choose to go with ‘Ease’ By setting this intention, it made it easier for us to make decisions and kept us on track if a situation started to feel stressful or messy. This didn’t always mean always going with the cheapest option, but if meant choosing between paying a driver to get us to a location within an hour or catching 3 different modes of public transport while lugging around our heavy bags, it was a no brainer! We chose ease. Energy flows where your intention goes. What intentions do you want to set for yourself? #inspired #coaching #holistic #wellness #intentions #mindset #growth #development #prioritising #wellbeing #consciousness #health #values #awareness #motivation #inspiration #connection #alignment #visualise #goals #shifts #beliefs #meditation #subconscious #habits #manifesting #empower #innerwork

22.01.2022 Our thoughts play a major role in our energy levels and our body's response to stressors. Think of yourself as an ‘energetic piggy bank.’ Our thoughts can either invest in or deplete that bank account. When we have stressful thoughts, our bodies are triggered into fight/flight mode. The crazy thing is that our body cannot tell the difference between a threat such as a tiger chasing us, a stress at work, or even stresses that we can create in our minds.... Stress hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol are released into our bodies to help keep us prepared, alert and ready to ‘fight off the tiger.’ While some stress can actually be good for us, if we stay in a high stress, fight/flight mode for too long we can end up living in survival mode. Our brains stay highly aroused and alert to try to predict, control or force outcomes to ‘increase our chance of survival. This can have a major effect on our energy levels, sleep quality and our overall health including our immune response and functioning of our digestive and reproductive systems. This is where practicing self-care and investing in your wellness is so important. These tools allow you to place your attention inward, create more self-awareness and gives your mind the space to listen to what your body is trying to tell you. What space can you create for yourself this weekend to invest in your energetic piggy bank?

22.01.2022 The idea of this may make fellow perfectionist or people pleasers feel uncomfortable, but it’s a good reminder!

21.01.2022 Over the past couple of years I’ve started to really enjoy the benefits of making small shifts that support both my physical and mental health and have become a part of my daily self care practice. Sometimes it’s the little things that have the most lasting effect. They are more sustainable and are easy to layer into your everyday routine. It may be as simple as swapping out one chemical product in your home for a more low-tox option, adding a herbal tea or oil into your day... to help support your body and mind, or making space in your morning/evening for a 5 minute meditation practice and moment to breathe. Creating more space and awareness around the little things you can do is not only fun, but it can also go go a long way in making positive shifts in both your mental and physical health #inspired #coaching #holistic #wellness #growth #change #wellbeing #consciousness #health #lowtox #awareness #motivation #living #alignment #meditation #visualise #goals #intention #support #selfcare #thelittlethings

20.01.2022 When you think of your wellness, what do you think of? For many, being well triggers thoughts of the gym, healthy eating as well as the absence of illness. But did you know that your wellness is a much broader and more holistic concept? It also includes your emotional, social, environmental, intellectual, financial, physical and spiritual wellness. It can be easy to show up in a few of these areas well, and then not value or prioritise others. For example, you might be great... with your money and smash it out at the gym daily, but you struggle to express yourself in your social environment, avoid feeling your feelings, overexert yourself so you constantly feel stressed and anxious or don’t prioritise your self-care. If an area of your wellness feels it is lacking, it may be due to a form of resistance, a block or a limiting belief about yourself. Our mindset and our self-belief play a HUGE role in our overall wellness. When we heal and release our blocks, and condition our mindset for success, amazing shifts can happen! If you would like support in your wellness journey, DM me for more information #wellness #mindset #beliefs #holistichealth #selfcare #coaching #priorities #inspire

20.01.2022 How can you turn an everyday habit into a ritual? Think about your morning and nightly routines. Chances are you tend to do the same thing, in a similar order every day. It’s become such a habit that you unconsciously go through the same motions without much thought or awareness. How could you add a little more awareness into your everyday habits, allowing them to have more meaning and become a ritual in your life?... What parts of your morning or nightly could become a little more conscious? Could washing your face at night be layered with a couple of minutes of deep breathing or brushing your teeth become a chance for you to create a mental gratitude list from the day? And could waking up 5 to 10 minutes earlier allow you more time in the mornings and change that coffee you normally have on the go, into a space for journaling, reading or even just sitting in stillness before the business of the day? When we put meaning behind our unconscious habits, we can easily turn a simple every-day routine into a self-care ritual. When life is busy or you’re feeling overwhelmed, an extra few minutes here and there with focused awareness can make a huge difference! #inspired #wellness #coaching #holistic #mindfulness #ritual #intentions #mindset #selfcare #wellbeing #consciousness #health #values #awareness #motivation #inspiration #connection #alignment #visualisation #goals #shifts #beliefs #subconscious #habits #innerwork #mornings

19.01.2022 MINDFUL MOMENTS When you’re super busy, the idea of stopping to meditate is probably not something that comes to mind. And yet, ironically, slowing down for even a moment can help you to be more productive as you allow your mind to unfrazzle itself. This is where incorporating mindful moments into your everyday routine can create more presence and provide your mind with some relief, without actually needing to stop and sit still. ... As you move through your everyday tasks, notice if there are moments where you could take a slower, more conscious approach to your routine. Think about some of the tasks that you do that require little effort or thought. Set the intention to be mindful during your chosen task and start to notice what you feel, see, smell, hear and taste. Some examples could be making a cup of tea/coffee, showering, cooking, ironing or washing the dishes. Making these little intentional observations can be a simple but effective way to help you slow down, be present and tune inwards, without actually having to stop. Your mind will appreciate the mental break!

19.01.2022 Thanks for this reminder Dr. Suess

18.01.2022 They say a good day starts the night before. Being an early riser, I’ve tended to place my focus on my morning routine. However this year I’ve become a lot more aware of my night routine, the impact it can have on my quality of sleep and the ripple effects my sleep has on how I show up every day. I had been in a bad cycle for too many years. ... When I was younger, I used to struggle to fall asleep. I would lie awake thinking about my school projects and trying to mentally prepare myself for the next day. In my teenage years, on top of worrying about school work, I also had a private phone line in my room (pre mobile phones!) that my friends could ring at all hours of the night without my parents knowing, therefore not sleeping. In my adult years, it flipped. While I had no trouble falling asleep, I would often wake somewhere between 12am and 3am, and my mind would be buzzing. It seemed that this was an excellent time to solve all the problems of the world. Problems that no longer seemed like problems by the time I woke up after finally falling asleep about half an hour before my alarm went off. I would often feel anxiety about going to sleep but then also felt highly anxious due to a lack of sleep. At the start of 2019, I set an intention to really focus on shifting my night time habits and I can honestly say it’s been a game changer! I no longer wanted to identify as an ‘insomniac’ and I became serious about my improving sleep. On top of feeling generally better, I also felt my anxiety levels and response to stress improve dramatically. A few of my personal night time rituals include; -Drinking a ‘Sleepy’ tea such as chamomile - Stop drinking liquids at least an hour and half before bed - Reduce screen time and avoid phone/laptop use 1 hour prior to bed -Diffusing Essential Oils such as Vetiver and Lavender. - Reading a fiction novel A big focus in my coaching sessions is looking into your habits and routines. It’s amazing to hear the results clients feel from adjusting their night time routine! What are some of your nightly routine hacks?

18.01.2022 Let’s keep it real. While I’m all about having a positive mindset, there can be times that you’re just not feeling it. And whilst you don’t want to stay in that state forever, there are moments when it’s ok to surrender, allow yourself to feel what’s coming up and ask the question what can I do to support myself right now? Prioritising time to check in with yourself is a super important part of looking after your overall wellness. ... Asking yourself the question ‘what can I do to support myself,’ can take the pressure off in the moment. It can also initiate creative ideas for self care that can shift your state and allow you the space to breathe #inspired #wellness #coaching #holistic #health #lifecoaching #ayurveda #mindset #growth #development #wellbeing #support #consciousness #values #awareness #motivation #connection #living #alignment #change #visualise #goals #intention #beliefs #subconscious #thoughts #habits #manifesting #empower #energy #surrender #care #breathe #creative #shifts

17.01.2022 Did you know that your overall wellness covers many areas of your life? It includes your emotional, physical, social, environmental, spiritual, financial and occupational wellness, just to name a few! Wellness is holistic, meaning it addresses the ‘whole self’ - mind and body. ... To shift an area of our wellness that may not feel so good, we need to become aware and realign our mindset. This starts with identifying and healing the resistance, blocks and subconscious beliefs that may be keeping us feeling stuck or smaller than our potential in that area. Can you notice an area of your wellness that you feel most powerful in? 16.01.2022 Why Meditate? When I ask people if they meditate, their answers are often the following... I’ve tried but I didn’t get the hype I was no good at it ... I couldn’t get my mind to settle so I stopped or I didn’t want to sit with my thoughts for that long I’ll be honest and say most of the time, I’m not ‘good’ at it either. My thoughts are literally jumping all over the place, I forget to breathe and I fidget. But I’m ok with that. There are also times when I can really get into the zone, I’ve had ‘bring tears to my eyes’ visualisations, creative ideas come to me, and I’ve processed and made sense of something that I couldn’t do so in the busy-ness of everyday life. I meditate every day as a part of my morning routine. Even if it’s just for 2 minutes if that’s all the time I can to allow. Meditation can be whatever it needs to be for you in the moment. It doesn’t need to look like that serene scene on the beach, with your legs folded and arms rested on your knees like we see in all of the magazines. It’s about giving yourself space for a few minutes of the day to stop, close your eyes and make sense of the world. Here are just a few of the benefits I personally get through meditation; - Stress relief and calm - Gaining perspective and clarity - Creative solutions - Visualisation - Slowing down - Self compassion - Reduced anxiety I tend to use an app with sounds and a timer, however there are days when I like to do a longer, guided meditation off YouTube if there is a specific topic I would like guidance on or bring awareness to. Like any habit, it takes time and consistency. But once the habit is formed, it will become a welcomed ritual in your life that you actually look forward to and enjoy! #inspired #coaching #holistic #wellness #meditation #mindfulness #ritual #intentions #mindset #growthmindset #wellbeing #consciousness #health #values #awareness #motivation #inspiration #connection #alignment #visualisation #goals #shifts #beliefs #subconscious #habits #manifesting #innerwork

15.01.2022 The idea of not having everything perfectly figured out can be a really shaky and uncomfortable feeling for perfectionists. We want to go from 0 to 100 and have everything tied up in a nice little bow straight away. Embracing the progress and releasing the expectation of everything to look and feel ‘perfect’ has been a big lesson for me. It still feels slightly uncomfortable, but is also feels like a relief to take the pressure off, allowing me to enjoy the progress and lea...ve space for messy inspired action. This is a reminder I repeat to myself a lot these days. I hope it resonates for you too

15.01.2022 Do you have a pain point in your health or wellness that you find yourself feeling frustrated and depleted by? And even though you are bummed out about it, you struggle to find the inspiration and motivation to take steps that support you to create shifts in this area. It may be that you aware of your frustrations but don’t know where/how to start. A lack of motivation may also be influenced by an internal resistance to change, based on your beliefs about yourself and your a...bility to cope or take action. Our self efficacy plays a major role in on our ability to create shifts and maintain habits. This is determined by our beliefs about ourselves, our behaviours as well as our environmental and social modelling. These factors influence our approach to life, the choices we make and the goals we set. We are also all so busy that it can be easy to forget to make space for ourselves to really check in and pay attention to how we are feeling and living. Making small incremental shifts in your everyday routine can create a huge difference in your overall wellness - both mentally and physically. This is where coaching can assist in empowering you to identify and shift self limiting beliefs, support change and develop healthy habits that can have a powerful impact on your every day mindset and overall wellness. 14.01.2022 Sometimes we just need to be gentle with ourselves and take the pressure off There are seasons when allowing ourselves to just ‘be’ is exactly what we need. Our own expectations are often much bigger than anyone else’s and we unconsciously set high standards for ourselves. When we feel like we are not meeting our own expectations this can be very deflating and create anxiety.... It’s ok to say a loving ‘no’ to things that are going to add additional pressure when you’re running on empty. The saying goes ‘you need to fill your own cup up first.’ This may feel uncomfortable when you are used to putting everything and everyone else first, but if you don’t have anything left in the tank, chances are you’re not showing up as your best self in other areas. Do what you need to do for you. Go to bed early, have a big cry, go for a walk, give yourself permission to be alone or say no to things. Understand it’s a season of your life, and the more space you give yourself, the more chance you have of healing and shifting from where you are and in the direction of where you want to be #inspired #coaching #holistic #wellness #ayurveda #mindset #growth #development #wellbeing #consciousness #health #values #awareness #motivation #connection #living #alignment #visualise #intention #shifts #beliefs #selfbelief #subconscious #thoughts #manifesting #change #empower #gentle #space

13.01.2022 How do you explain things to yourself? Your perspective, whether it be positive or negative has so much influence on how you feel and respond to situations. We learn habits that impact the way we interpret life when we are very young. Our inner dialogue develops its own ‘voice and style’ of explaining situations to ourselves. The style of our inner voice may be an optimistic one - affirming positivity and hopefulness or it may have a more pessimistic style - tending toward...s fear, defensiveness and protection. Which ever voice we listen to tends to be right, as our thoughts shape the way we interpret and experience situations. Which voice are you listening to? Call to action - Over the next few days, see if you can pay attention to your inner dialogue. Does it have a particular style? Be a witness to your thoughts, especially in places that may trigger you such as your work place or in family situations. If you do notice that your inner voice tends to lean towards a more pessimistic style, that’s ok! By becoming a witness to your thoughts, you are becoming aware of your subconscious habits. Breathe in and out, and acknowledge yourself for creating this awareness. It is through awareness that we create big shifts #inspired #coaching #holistic #wellness #mindset #growth #development #wellbeing #consciousness #health #values #awareness #motivation #connection #living #alignment #change #visualise #goals #intention #witness #voice #compassion #subconscious #thoughts #habits #manifesting

13.01.2022 Wouldn’t it be great if.? What thoughts come to mind if you ask yourself this question? Now dig a little deeper and get more specific. Do any of your answers surprise you?... They could be as simple as Wouldn’t it be great if someone did my shopping for me or cleaned my house. They may also be big answers such as, Wouldn’t it be great if I could go on a trip to Italy next year or if I started a dog walking business to bring in some extra money. Asking yourself a question like this can be incredibly clarifying and can give you insight into what could change or have a little more of your attention. It allows you to dream big and is a great way to spark creative solutions as it allows your mind to visualise and think about what is possible if you put intention and action towards it. It’s easy to continue doing things the way you always have even if it doesn’t always feel good, bores or even frustrates you. By asking yourself open-ended questions, you are able to mentally step outside of the known and into possibility Feel free to share what answers come up for you!

12.01.2022 Can anyone else relate? . . When I say I’m a morning person, I mean the kind of person who can wake early and jump into my morning rituals or study, not the kind that jumps straight into the shower. ... I like to start of my morning slow when possible and preferably before 6am. According to Ayurvedic principals, we cycle through 6 x 4 hour cycles of the different Doshas - Vata, Kapha and Pitta. We move through each cycle twice in a 24 hour period. By understanding these times, you can work with your bodies natural rhythms to get the best out of your mind, body and energy levels. The time between 2am and 6am is when our bodies are in the natural rhythm of ‘Vata.’ Vata energy is a creative, making it a great time for visualisation and meditation. While most of this time is hopefully spent sleeping, I can definitely say that I feel my most creative in that sweet spot between 5am and 6am. This also means slowing down and being in bed early enough when we are naturally in ‘Kapha’ energy between 6pm and 10pm. This is a time for slowing down, going within and preparing for sleep. After 10pm, our bodies go into our ‘Pitta’ energy. This is the time between 10pm and 2am when we are in our deepest sleep. It is the best time for our bodies restoration and subconscious processing. Aligning your schedule to your bodies natural rhythms can support you in getting the most out of your mind and body. (It can also assist you to become a morning person!) #inspired #coaching #holistic #wellness #ayurveda #mindset #growth #development #wellbeing #consciousness #health #values #awareness #motivation #connection #living #alignment #change #visualise #goals #intention #shifts #beliefs #selfbelief #subconscious #thoughts #habits #manifesting #change #empower #energy

11.01.2022 We are analytical creatures. We like to know all the ins and outs and weigh up the pros and cons to feel like we have given our mind time analyse our options from every angle. But even after all this assessment, we can still find ourselves stuck in analysis paralysis. Our minds are strong and very powerful. Our mind can tell our body that we are feeling a certain way and our body believes what it is told. It doesn’t know the difference between what is real and what is not. H...owever, if we focus our attention on our body rather than our mind, our bodies can inform us of things that our mind may not be acknowledging. By checking in and asking our body for answers, we become more connected to our intuition and how we are really feeling. This can be a very helpful tool when it comes to making decisions. If you are having trouble making a decision from your mind, try dropping down into your body and notice how it feels. Like trying on new clothes to buy, you can also try on your decisions and your body may just give you some insight that your mind couldn’t. When we allow how we feel to be our decision maker, the easier decisions can become as we align our choices with our desired feelings and values. This also means that we spend less time analysing and more time doing the things that make us feel good! #inspired #coaching #holistic #wellness #meditation #mindfulness #ritual #intentions #mindset #growth #body #feelings #wellbeing #consciousness #health #values #awareness #motivation #inspiration #connection #alignment #visualisation #goals #shifts #beliefs #subconscious #authentic #manifesting #innerwork

05.01.2022 Let’s all look lovely today!

04.01.2022 Self-care is very much a buzz word these days, but a very important one for both our mental and physical health. As the saying goes, You can’t pour from an empty cup. And while self-care can most definitely be sitting in a bath full of salts and oils or getting a massage, it can also be about taking action on the things that feel most aligned to you. There is both the feminine and masculine types of self-care, or the Yin and the Yang. The feminine or yin forms of self-care ...is about slowing down and nurturing yourself as a way of recharging, whereas the more masculine or yang side of self-care can include learning new things, physical movement or taking action around your growth and development. Both the slow and the action side of self-care can fill up your cup when there is a happy balance of both. It can help you to avoid burnout and is so beneficial for your overall health and wellness. How can you prioritise some self-care into your weekend?

02.01.2022 Journal writing is a very popular tool used amongst creatives and entrepreneurs these days, with many incorporating journaling into their morning routines. It has the power to clear your mind, express and process emotions, gain clarity, set goals, or inspire you to ask yourself the big questions, giving you an insight into what you most desire. Personally, journaling has been both a healing and intention-setting tool for me. I’ve filled many notebooks over the years with my t...houghts, reflections and ideas. It has helped me to process hard times, document the good times and write down what I would like to call in and manifest in my life. It can also be very interesting to read back over your journals down the track. I’ve had my mind blown when something I had jotted down as an idea had actually come to fruition. There have also been times that were hard to re-read, but in doing so, it allowed me to witness my growth and celebrate where I am today. There is something very therapeutic about holding a pen, feeling the paper and allowing a stream of consciousness to come through you. Here are my tips to help get you started in creating your own journaling ritual; Choose a pretty notebook & pen that makes you feel excited to write with Find a cosy and comfortable space to sit. Eg. your bed, outside, under a blanket Make yourself a nice cup of tea or drink Use a ‘journal prompt’ to inspire you to start writing Swipe to the right to see some journal prompts to help get you started
