23.01.2022 Water is a precious commodity and as you can see in the front of this photo, when it doesn't rain in Western Victoria, the dams dry up. The good thing is the rain usually comes after summer and the dams fill up

17.01.2022 this is my daughters Think project for school. She took all the photos and did all the editing herself. Pretty good for her first attempt at both... "In nature we can see God in everything. God made everything. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God"

One of the many spectacular sights you see if you take a drive along the Great Ocean Road

15.01.2022 I couldn't resist taking this photo. We were driving home from Hamilton and it was a beautiful warm evening in January. I saw this old house and was lucky enough to snap it as we went past. If you look super close, you may notice that it's very slightly out of focus (Joey was driving 100km) but it was too nice not to share

13.01.2022 Stopping near Wynyard to admire the view

12.01.2022 Today is Remembrance Day If you can, please observe a minutes silence at 11am to remember those who fought and gave their lives so that we may live in a free co...unty "We will remember them" They went with songs to the battle, they were young. Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow. They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted, They fell with their faces to the foe. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them Remembrance Day (also known as Poppy Day, Armistice Day or Veterans Day) is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth countries to remember the members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty since World War I. This day, or alternative dates, are also recognised as special days for war remembrances in many non-Commonwealth countries. Remembrance Day is observed on 11 November to recall the official end of World War I on that date in 1918; hostilities formally ended "at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month" of 1918 with the German signing of the Armistice ("at the 11th hour" refers to the passing of the 11th hour, or 11:00 a.m.) #rsl #proudtobeanaussie #wewillrememberthem

07.01.2022 This photo was taken back in June 2018. We did one of our road trips up to the Gold Coast and of course we had to stop here at Long Jetty NSW. It is located on the Central Coast on a peninsula between Tuggerah Lake and the Pacific Ocean south of The Entrance It just so pretty here. All around the lake are these long jettys, hence the name.... We got up really early and headed down to the lake before sunrise waiting to get a spectacular sunrise. We waited for what seemed like ages. The sky was dark and grey and it was raining (not heavy). Then all of a sudden this happened! It was worth the wait and damp clothes

05.01.2022 I spent the day in Sunbury the other week. I can't believe I have never been to Sunbury before. I think I would have driven through it but I've never stopped t...o look around. I was really pleasantly surprised. Sunbury is a lovely town and I totally recommend going and having a look around. There is an awesome homestead there ( http://www.emubottom.com.au)

05.01.2022 Today I spent a beautiful day at Australian Botanical Gardens and ended the day watching the sunset at Tooradin The water is always so still here (the mozzies are a pest), you don't always get a lot of cloud here but the reflections are amazing

04.01.2022 Sydney Opera House is an iconic Sydney landmark. Located right in the heart of Sydney and face the Sydney Harbour Bridge. These photos were taken over the 3 ...days I was in Sydney andI was surprised when I was taking these photos there were so many tourists having photos there (that is not the surprising part). I offered to take photos for the tourists over the 3 days so they could be in them which everyone accepted. What surprised me was when I asked them if the also wanted one of them with the bridge only 1 person said yes, the others all only wanted the Opera House. Some history taken from Wiki The Sydney Opera House is a multi-venue performing arts centre in Sydney, Australia. It is one of the 20th century's most famous and distinctive buildings.[3] It is the home of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, the building was formally opened on 20 October 1973[4] after a gestation beginning with Utzon's 1957 selection as winner of an international design competition. The government of New South Wales, led by the premier, Joseph Cahill, authorised work to begin in 1958 with Utzon directing construction. The government's decision to build Utzon's design is often overshadowed by circumstances that followed, including cost and scheduling overruns as well as the architect's ultimate resignation.[5] The building and its surrounds occupy the whole of Bennelong Point on Sydney Harbour, between Sydney Cove and Farm Cove, adjacent to the Sydney central business district and the Royal Botanic Gardens, and close by the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Though its name suggests a single venue, the building comprises multiple performance venues which together host well over 1,500 performances annually, attended by more than 1.2 million people.[6] Performances are presented by numerous performing artists, including three resident companies: Opera Australia, the Sydney Theatre Company and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. As one of the most popular visitor attractions in Australia, more than eight million people visit the site annually, and approximately 350,000 visitors take a guided tour of the building each year.[7] The building is managed by the Sydney Opera House Trust, an agency of the New South Wales State Government. On 28 June 2007, the Sydney Opera House became a UNESCO World Heritage Site;[8] having been listed on the Register of the National Estate since 1980, the National Trust of Australia register since 1983, the City of Sydney Heritage Inventory since 2000, the New South Wales State Heritage Register since 2003, and the Australian National Heritage List since 2005.[9]

03.01.2022 If you're ever on the Gold Coast you should def go to the Natural Bridge at Springbrook National Park. It's an easy drive from Gold Coast and scenery along the way is amazing. Wear comfortable shoes and depending on the time of the year spray on your insect repellant ... Don't forget your camera and if you're bringing your DSLR remember to bring your tripod along to get a great long exposure photo. https://www.destinationgoldcoast.com//natural-bridge-sprin
