Then place them in a large mixing bowl. Next, in a food processor, blend the cashews into a fine meal. Then place them in the large mixing bowl. 21.01.2022 Life looks a lot like this at the moment. I’m wearing one baby whilst the other twin is in the rocker next to me and my toddler runs around making a mess. Mum life seems to be like this for everyone I talk to, we’re all so busy! Busy working on our own goals and supporting our kids and family as we do it. It’s funny, because as stressful as these days can be as I try and power through my to do list, run Inspired Mumma and love my boys... I also know these will be remembere...d as the best days of my life. I’ll dearly miss these moments when the chaos is over and my house is quiet. I completely get it when Mums say they just want time to slow down so they can enjoy their kiddies and yet sometimes speed up so their kids can be more independent. It’s a crazy paradigm. We all just have to have to remember to breathe deeply and go with the flow, hold realistic expectations of what we can achieve each day and show the same empathy we give to those we love, to ourselves! We are doing it all gurl.

20.01.2022 For me, a stir fry is always such an easy way to use up the vegetables in my crisper at the end of the week. They take minimal time and as long as I get the stir fry sauce combo correct they always taste great. Feel free to make this with whatever you have at home. Cooking should be simple and not cause stress, so learn to make do with what you have and just be glad that you're going to the effort of creating homemade meals. QUICK ZUCCHINI & CHICKEN STIR FRY Serves: 5... Prep Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins Ingredients: 1/4 cup (60ml) soy sauce or gluten free Tamari if required 1 cup (240ml) chicken broth 1 tbsp. corn starch 2 tbsp. dry white wine 1 tbsp. sugar 2 tsp. sesame oil 1 tbsp. coconut oil, divided 1 tbsp. minced garlic 1 tbsp. minced ginger 1 lb (450g) chicken breast, thinly sliced 1 large zucchini, cut in thick half-moons 1 tbsp. sesame seeds 2 tbsp. spring onion, to garnish Method: In a large bowl add the soy sauce, chicken broth, corn starch, dry white wine, sugar, and sesame oil and whisk until everything is completely dissolved. In a large skillet, add 2 tsp. coconut oil and the chicken, about 2-3 minutes on each side, on medium-high heat. Then set aside on a plate. Using the same skillet, add in the remaining 1 tsp. of oil, garlic and ginger and sauté for 30-45 seconds until fragrant, but being careful not to burn it. Stir the garlic and ginger well and add in the earlier prepared sauce. Whisk well. Simmer the sauce for 1 minute, then add in the zucchini and continue cooking for 2 more minutes, until thickened and the zucchini is tender-crisp. Remove from the heat, add in the chicken, and stir until well coated. Garnish with sesame seeds and scallions if desired.

11.01.2022 Breastfeeding twins has been harder than I anticipated. My boys still aren't strong enough to breastfeed full time and so I can only do it several times a day at this stage and have to pump around the clock for the rest of the time. So far I have learned a few things about breastfeeding twins... First of all, my nipples never get a break! haha. Their little arms swing all over the place and they often get confused and end up sucking on their hands in an attempt to find... the boob. When both of my hands are busy trying to hold their little heads in place, once one is attached I can't detach the other easily! And finally, they both have to be burped at the same time, every time. I want to breastfeed them full time but I am being realistic, not putting pressure on myself or the boys... Taking it one day at a time. See more

08.01.2022 Welcome to a new week Inspired Mumma Team! This smile is an example of the wonderful feeling you get when the endorphins kick in and you’re actions are aligned with the Mumma you want to be! I dreamt of the days I would be a Mum and be able to exercise with my kids. There’s nothing like it... Sure it’s harder, you’re disrupted and you have to be extra patient but it’s well worth the effort.... Kids learn more from what we do, how we speak to ourselves and how we prioritize our time, than they do from our ongoing advice. Teach your kids what they need to value by valuing yourself. You’re definitely worth the love and effort, and we all owe it to our kiddies to teach them these life skills. Join the Inspired Mumma Support Group on FB and we can all do it together.

03.01.2022 CREAMY PRAWN NOODLES! Growing up in Esperance WA and having parents that owned a diving and fishing tourism business, seafood was our staple diet when I was young. It is funny I didn't appreciate it at the time as it was all I knew but it is just such a healthy diet. This recipe reminds me of home. It's simple and delicious. Enjoy beautiful ladies :)... Serves: 2 Prep Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins Ingredients: 7oz. (200g) frozen prawns 4 oz. (125g) noodles (black rice, buckwheat or rice) 1 tbsp. coconut oil 1 small onion, diced 1 tsp. oregano 2 garlic cloves, minced 10 cherry tomatoes, cut in quarters 2 tbsp. parsley, chopped cup (125ml) oat cream Method: Defrost the prawns, rinse and dry. Add prawns and fry for about another minute, stirring constantly, season with salt and pepper. Add the cherry tomatoes and parsley, mix and fry for another half a minute. Pour in the cream and bring to a boil. Simmer everything for about 1 minute until the sauce thickens, season with freshly ground pepper and salt as needed. Add strained pasta and heat everything together.

02.01.2022 It is crazy how fast I feel life has changed. As I stand here with my 4 boys I am so happy and thankful to be in this place. It's funny how the universe often packages our future up for us. I am slowly learning, that often when I think things are falling apart, there is actually something better in store for us. 5 years ago I was struggling with infertility, and yet, if the universe hadn't made me go through so many rounds of IVF I would never have had twins. Twins are s...omething I always deeply wanted but just assumed it was completely off the cards for us. There are many life experiences when we thought what we were going through was a negative however it panned out to be for the best. Those are often the times when we have dug deep and refused to take no for an answer. We honestly have no idea what the future holds for us and that is what makes this journey so exciting and yet sometimes daunting. I just need to trust that we all get to where we want to be in life, it's just often not the pathway we imagined it to be. What experience did you have to emotionally dig deep throughout? It's great for us to appreciate and reflect on those moments.

01.01.2022 As a nurturer and mother, we naturally do things for other people. Often not because of who they are or what we think we will get from them in return, but because of who we are by nature. The carers, the givers, and the lovers of the family. When we are kind and give to others our brain releases endorphins, these are the same chemicals that are released when we engage in strenuous exercise. These hormones make us feel proud, uplifted, and hopeful, changing our state, and reducing stress. The less stressed we are, the better we are able to look after ourselves and others. So be generous and show kindness, spread positivity to those around you. Positive relationships help us maintain optimal well-being just as much healthy eating and exercise.

01.01.2022 I grew up in a small town and enjoyed just going to the local shop, the beautician down the road, and knowing the people at the local post office. I basically moved to the city and then created my own little community. Now I just go to all the same places and know my local folk of the area. Sometimes I actually forget that I live in the city... The support network we have around us and our involvement in the community play a massive role in our mental health. ... It's nice to recognize people at the shops, have a chat with the regulars at the gym, catch up with those friends that deserve your time. It's all these small connections that build us up and improve our self-esteem. I speak to many women who have a smaller support network since becoming a Mum, when really this is the time we need it the most. They stop playing sport with their girlfriends or socialising as much, and slowly life becomes about work and managing the home. Women often do not recognise the importance these relationships play in their health. I encourage you to contact a worthy friend and make time for a catch-up. You'll be surprised just how great you feel when you take time out from being a Mum, a daughter, a colleague, and all of your other roles. Just spend the afternoon being your old self, having a laugh, and reconnecting.

01.01.2022 Women frequently ask me for tips on how to be motivated... The truth is I am not always motivated and it fluctuates for everyone! A lot of the time, especially at the moment, 6 weeks postpartum, I am tired and so I don't really feel like exercising or pushing myself all the time. What I have learned is that the key to maintaining MOMENTUM (which is far more important for results than motivation) is having a sound routine. A set of tasks that you do daily that are in alignment... with the goals you set yourself and the person you want to be. Once you have got the small acts like exercise, food prep and managing your stress woven into your daily habits, in those moments when you're not motivated, you simply complete the task because 'that's what you do'. You've set aside time for it, factored it in and now all you have to do state your favorite affirmation, give yourself a pep talk and start the task. My advice is to stop chasing endless motivation and focus on your daily routine... It makes the changes a whole lot easier to execute.
