24.01.2022 Well.... Its official. Re-opening Sat 5th June. Eeep!!! Not going to lie, feeling a little overwhelmed with some of the new changes I will need to implement; to be a COVID-19 safe salon; but I know it will be worth it. ... Please understand that there are very strict protocols for me to operate and these include limits on space and time. Texts have gone out and bookings made; and I thank each and everyone of you who replied to me and are supporting my little home business once again. Things have changed, and this may now be our new normal but it doesnt mean Im not going to be able to give you the quality of service that Ive always done and I cant wait to create magic with you again. A text will be sent a few days prior to your scheduled appt to advise of the new procedures and I ask that you please respect these as some changes are mandatory for me to operate. One of the biggest things this time has taught me is that life indeed is precious, and being forced to slow down has been a positive for me and my son. Moving forward, I have made the decision to cut back on my availability and make more time for the other important things in my life. And.. this is not negotiable. Thank you so much for your support. 22.01.2022 Its been just over 3 weeks since COVID-19 shut my business down so a lot of clients are now reaching out to me "help me Reet, my nails are bad!!!" Please take note... I do NOT recommend leaving your acrylic or gel nails on for too much longer, they can start to crack and cause pain and damage, they can lift and you get can lots of nasties underneath (incl water mould) and I do not recommend you using any glues to stick them down for any longer. Unfortunately they need to... be REMOVED now!! Like you, I have sat back and hoped I didnt have to.. but the time has come now babes. Please remove now and preserve the health of your natural nails, and to prevent further damage. I have a very limited number of safe removal packs available now for clients. These will work for all types of nails incl hard gel, gel polish, SNS, acrylic etc for both your hands and feet and contains presoaked salon grade pure Acetone remover swabs, foils, buffer, file, cuticle stick and cuticle oil. As can be seen in the photo (thank you Rachel) safe removal can be achieved with patience and guidance! Please look after them until we meet again I cannot replenish these as suppliers are out of stock. Please PM me today to arrange a pack! *NB I can supply my tropical blend cuticle oil to be purchased separately too (they are included in the packs) as u know this is 15ml of super nourishing oil that helps stimulate growth and essential in caring for your nails xx

20.01.2022 Just a quick check in on everyone. And a question thats been asked of me a fair bit recently. "Can I use Acetone from the hardware store to remove my nails? " The short answer is this....... No I cannot advise you that this is ok to use and Ill tell you why.... Firstly please understand it would void my professional indemnity insurance to do so. As a professional, I can only advise you to remove nails using salon grade acetone that I get in from my supplier and that comes with mandatory SDS (Safety Data Sheets)... Acetone from a hardware store is generally NOT recommended for professional salons to use to soak off enhancements as it is not "pure" that is... it is not flushed and as such some ingredients that are left in it may lead to over exposure or chemical reactions. Yes it can remove nail polish but soaking in this unclean solution for too long can be harsh on the skin. Because of this, it can also take longer to remove and penetrate through and therefore lead to you having to soak off for longer. Acetone from a beauty supplier to specifically soak off enhancements is flushed and therefore considered "pure" and also has conditioners in it which is safe for the skin. By all means, make your own decision on this (it probably wont kill you lol) but I cant advise you to use a solution that is not covered by my insurance. So its "at your own risk" I did have soak off kits that included salon grade solutions, but these have now sold out. If you do want this, please let me know and Ill see if I can make get anymore in xxx Missing you all like crazy

With preferred times and days if possible also. There will be some changes to my schedule so I will individually message you once I have worked out what that will look like and if this will affect you This time has... been a reset for me and I look forward to some positive changes for everyone! Please note... Due to time constraints only full sets will be offered at your first appt with NO nail art to start with. Sorry! Any refills or repairs (if you still have anything left or attempted your own lol) WILL need to be removed prior to attending (you can still purchase a kit from me to do so). WRONG! This is intended for in home carers or cleaners or to deliver a friggin pizza NOT a personal service for 1 to 2 hours! "As maintaining a safe distance in personal services industry is not always possible; it is now recommended that all clients present at their appointment with a mask to be worn during the service" Simply, as it's impossible to keep 1.5m distance while doing your nails or feet, this is now something I require in my home stud...io. Please note; I am unable to supply masks for you unfortunately as they are very scarce at the moment; so please organise this before arrival. Hand washing station will still be available together with hand sanitizer at the desk. Contact tracing register must also be completed. Please also remember to wait in your car until I greet you at the door to allow for no cross over of clients. 08.01.2022 Officially a week today .. does anyone miss me?

08.01.2022 So thats a wrap! Tonight I worked very late... to finish just in time. Thank you to my wonderful clients who were able to shift things last minute. As at midnight, I am officially unemployed and on caronidays It is what it is and I accept my fate as usual. I want to thank all my clients who continue to support me on a daily basis... I will miss you guys the most. Yes, creating pretty nails is what I love but our catch ups are what keep me going. But this is not forever. ...I can feel it. Its the pause no one ever expected a few weeks ago, but it was inevitable. Now that Ive had some time to think, I have decided to pull my son from school, take stock and do my bit in helping to slow down the spread of this horrific virus and to keep my loved ones safe. I will be obeying the rules imposed and no longer trading until it is safe to do so. So we are officially in ISO as of now. Please ... your industry could be next!!! #staythefuckathome and allow the world to heal and repair. You may as well go into hibernation anyway, I mean we are all going to miss our pretty nails, lashes, waxing, threading, tanning and beauty treatments etc lol When I am back, I will sort all appts out and let u all know and well we can just start over. In the meantime, Ill continue to teach (home schooling will be interesting), Ill clean out my cupboards, stay connected with students online, cook some fun stuff and spend quality time with my son. Suppliers are out everywhere of what I needed so please if U would like one let me know asap ! The cost is $20 and there is definitely enough in the kit to do more than once. It includes acetone cotton foils oils instructions and the tools youll need. This just covers costs. If you dont want to remove your nails just yet.. as one client s...aid to me ... "Id rather lose my fingers than remove my pretty nails" lol I just ask that you dont pull your enhancements off as this causes a lot of damage to the nail plate! If you dont want to remove them; let them grow out naturally and fall off at least and remember to keep your nails hydrated and oiled daily. I have a small amount of Cuticle oil bottles left over too if you just want that as well. Much love

To all of you so called professionals making this possible.. to the nail techs "loaning" their professional kits for a quick buck, the nail bars selling illegal home kits on gumtree, the suppliers opening up sales to the general public, the supposed beauty trainers selling online training on DIY for $12.. this message is to you.... YOU ARE KILLING OUR INDUSTRY !!!! and you need to stop! This infuriates me...... and I get asked all the time. STOP! This is an insult to the many years and lots of money spent training and perfecting my craft and the knowledge and skills I pass on in my teaching. You should be ashamed of yourselves. 02.01.2022 I have just received a number of texts and msgs in one hit from some of my beautiful clients. Please please bare with me, I am processing the news as well and just need time to evaluate things. There is still a little confusion around whats going on. Anyone booked in for this week, I will contact first in order of priority and may be able to offer something before any restriction takes place. I am also looking into some creative ideas on how you can take care of your nai...ls at home as well while we are in lockdown. Today is a sad sad day for everyone in my industry as the beauty school I work for has also closed. I have lost my business and my job, my income and my livelihood ... so please understand I do need some time to think and breathe for a minute. It is for the best; our world needs time to heal and repair :( stay safe everyone

01.01.2022 Righto!!! I am getting through my diary and contacting clients directly via text to confirm appts. Please please please reply promptly so I can work out what I'm doing. There are in effect two days I lost and now need to find to be able reschedule :/ if you aren't keeping your appt PLS give me as much notice as possible. *** Last minute cancellations will now incur a rebooking fee. I have lost so much this year and have yet to recover (including a large number of client...s; my income and my livelihood) due to COVID-19; please understand where I'm coming from and that I am unable to keep swapping appts from your original booked dates and to be mindful of that. I am a little stressed so I apologise for that too and I do understand I'm not the only one but I think people forget while it's just your nail appt this is also my job. :( Stay cool
