22.01.2022 Time to put the spotlight on positives ... list as many things as you can in five minutes that you are grateful for .... here’s my five: my family and friends; that I am living in Australia; the roof over my head where I sleep at night; that I have enough food and do not go hungry; Living with freedom to make my own choices; the ability to read and free library services so I can borrow as many books as I need; fresh quality food from local farmers; counting down to Christmas; appreciation of sunrises and sunsets every day; wonderful beaches; pet dogs we borrow; the internet that enablescinnection with family and friends far away ... my existence to soak up the wonder and awe of this planet

12.01.2022 Oh that our tolerances were such that we so comfortably accepted the diverse range of children as just part of the normal range of uniqueness ... oh that a child never felt they were 'weird, strange, different, did not fit, or needed to be different" ... Oh imagine what uniquely wonderfully creative individuals our children would grow up to be ... agree totally that life would be much better if our children were encouraged to authentically who they are and accepted as such!

08.01.2022 Study these qualities carefully ... so many of these qualities are gifts to be nurtured, cared for, developed and valued ... they are also the traits we try so hard to develop in all children. Maybe it's time to put the lens on how we adapt our teaching to support the ADHD student and not how we make them adapt to our way of wanting to teach.

04.01.2022 This is so so true ... and to that please add 'and what they will need at the end of their schooling' which is why: life skills, resilience, optimism, kindness, creativity, problem solving, empathy, cooperation skills, collaboration, patience, mindfulnesss .... self understanding ... and the list goes on and on are so important!
