22.01.2022 Monday Mantra: when you can't control what's going on in the outside world. Focus on what you can control ... your inside world This week I will share breathing tips, yoga poses that help calm your thinking mind, tips & tools that will help when feeling stressed or anxious. Have you noticed that our feelings can affect our breathing? Big time!! Angry? We tend to breathe faster, stressed or anxious, we feel that we can't breathe, tight chest. Fear can make us hold our bre...ath But here's the good news, consciously changing our breathing can change our emotions. Long deep mindful belly breaths can help us feel calm Try it: take a deep breath in through your nose and expand your belly out as much as you can. Then open your mouth slightly and exhale slowly. Get the kiddies to join in with you also. Try it atleast 3 times in a row

06.01.2022 A precious little reminder that you're doing great. You are enough. ... #justbreathe #liveyourbestlife

06.01.2022 R U OK?Day is Thursday 10 September and this year's message is 'There's more to say after R U OK?'. You don't need to have all the answers sometimes just hearing from a friend or letting someone know you care is sometimes enough ... We hear 'we're all in this together', but it's so important we actually let people know this with our actions. Reach out to your friends / family and check how they're going. Your strong friends, quiet friend's, happy friends ~ check in. I know a simple text, social media message, phone call, or video chat can't fully replace face-to-face connection, it can show someone you care and brighten up their day & your own if feeling anxious, stressed or flat. Let's stay connected more than ever Who will you check-in with?

05.01.2022 BREATHING WITH A MASK Always breathe through your nose ~ breathing through your nose increases oxygen uptake & lowers chance of hyperventilation... ~ use your Yogi counting to help slow your breathing. Inhale for 4 ~ Exhale for 6 whilst wearing your mask. Focus on your chest & belly rising ~ take breaks and be gentle with yourself. Find a mask that suits you, and one that you can breathe comfortably with, material, surgical etc it is def not a 1 size fits ~ suits all. This is all so new. If you start to feel anxious or uneasy, find a safe spot, remove your mask and relax. Breathe into your belly ~ slow it down, soften your eyes, relax your jaw and bring awareness to your breathing. Next time you mask up, I hope these little tips help you. Practice breathing exercises at home. Remember ALL thoughts are normal, so go easy on YOURSELF! My mantra for ISO 2.0 ~ live for today, look after myself ~ body & mind. Take care Yogi's & as my 6yr told me "smile, you can still smile with your eye's" #justbreathe #liveyourbestlife #smile

03.01.2022 Love this reminder: right now more than ever it is so important to take care of ourselves. Whilst, social media is a great tool to help spread awareness and keep us connected it does have a negative impact and increases our anxiety. Be mindful of what is filling your feed and how it makes you feel. If you're struggling with social media and constant news updates, switch off, take a break, get out in nature, roll your mat out, cook, write... whatever helps you spend time away... from your phone and the news. Remember how good nature hangs are ~ it can lower blood pressure and stress hormone levels, enhance immunity, improve our mood and lowers anxiety. With masks compulsory here in Vic, try and breathe slowly in through your nose, big deep breaths in from the mouth can make you feel more anxious ~ slow and mindful deep breaths Yogi's Take a break!!

01.01.2022 If this lockdown has taught us anything it is 1. Be kind to yourself 2. Your mental health is a priority 3. Check in on your loved ones... With all the "chaos" in the world at the moment are you prioritising your own mental health? #justbreathe #liveyourbestlife #mentalhealth #simplethings #yogaeveryday

To enjoy and appreciate the little thing's because they truly are the big thing's Grateful Heart What are you grateful for Yogi's?
