25.01.2022 Check yourself before you wreck yourself....we're talking about your exercise mindset, let's get it in check. Do you find yourself stopping and starting a fitness regimes? Swapping and changing; nothing ever sticks?... This may your exercise mindset... When you view exercise as a way to lose weight or as a punishment it becomes something you HAVE to do, you program your mind to view it as a chore (a negative) which is no wonder you have a hard time sticking with it consistently. For a succesful lasting weight loss strategy it is vital to shift how you view exercise, so you no longer stop and start fitness regimes; exercise is apart of your lifestyle - consistently. Firstly, when you only exercise to subtract be it to lose weight or "burn off a binge" you condition your mind to look at exercise it as a chore - you associate negative feelings towards it. Then when the stressors of life hits you look to cut out things in your life exercise is the first to go because you have trained your mind to think exercise isn't value ADDING to your life. Secondly, We get asked all the time - "whats the best exercise for weightloss", at the end of the day it's the one you enjoy and can stick to most consistently. Because it doesn't matter how great or efficient it is if you hate the living guts out of it it - because you will find every excuse under the sun not to go. Instead we suggest finding something you enjoy - yes it may be challenging but you might love the people, the type of training, the environement, the community and feeling afterwards whatever it is as long as you can be consistent with it thats the key!

08.01.2022 Looking for that boost of motivation? . . . Look within.... If you find your self stopping and starting workout regimes, and telling yourself your don't have the motivation, or you need someone to motivate you. Consider instead - changing the type of motivation your looking for. Move away from relying on external motivation (weight loss, rewards and instant gratification). It is external motivation that has helped you get fast results in the past, but it is also the reason you've seen a losing weight in the short term, only to rebound and gain the weight back again and again. Instead focus on building internal staying power to achieve and maintain results long-term. Intrinsic/ internal motivation is made up of internal, meaningful reasons to lose weight such as the idea that both the process and the journey will produce energizing emotions such as interest, enjoyment, and challenge" Lasting motivation isn't something anyone can give you. It's based on what you value. Values determine what you move towards they are things that are important to us, the characteristics and behaviours that motivate us and guide our decisions. It all comes down to your interinsic motivation. If you really want to do something, you will work hard for it - If not you will find an excuse. The temptation to quit is a recurring theme. The voices in our heads urge us to throw in the towel, make a change, or take it easy on yourself. What these same voices fail to tell you is that there is a distinction between the dream, and the work required to obtain it. When you tap into lasting motivation, it gives you the inner drive to keep going even when life gets in the way.

06.01.2022 Success is in your daily habits and routines you create."....You will never change your life until you change something that you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine. Want to achieve something you've either never achieved before or been struggling to achieve for some time - well, the bad news is doing the same thing you've always done isn't going to get you there. But the good news is it just takes a few small tweaks and changes. ... So where do you start you might be asking... Well It’s time to create new behaviors and habits that are oriented away from sabotage and toward success. It’s that simple. One small change CAN and WILL make a huge difference on your body, health & Lifestyle. Lasting, life changing results come from small, smart choices done consistently over time. Sounds pretty simple and yes it is but the challenge is in doing it consistently, even when life gets in the way. Get a piece of paper and draw a line through the center, on one side write out the small seemingly inconsequential habits or actions you do that HINDER your results. Be honest with yourself. Remember these are just little things. What are little habits or actions you can stop doing that might be compounding your results downward. Maybe you have a glass of wine every night with dinner instead every 2nd night swpa the wine for a soda water On the other side of the paper write out half-dozen, small seemingly inconsequential habits or actions you can start doing now that will help CONTRIBUTE to your results. Remember these are just little things, not drastic actions. Haven't exercises for a while? why not start with a 20 min walk just 3 times a week It really is as simple as change just a couple of small things. But like we said the hard is doing it consistently. Even when life is hectic and even when you don't want to. No more glamorising and over complicating weightloss - if you want to lose weight or change your lifestyle for GOOD. A meal plan and unrealistic workout plan is not your answer. PERIOD. If your currently looking at different programs to help with your weightloss or lifestyle changes - if you are serious about creating LASTING results and not seeing the results rebound then the questions you should ask your self are... Is this a program or plan I can do consistently? Can I create a lifestyle around this program? Is this program realisticlly going to fit around my existing lifestyle? Don't get emotionally carried away by the smokes and mirrors the "before and after pics" and the excitement of losing the weight - think honestly and realistically about what sort iof lifestyle you want to life and what works for you. Because when anything that promises fast results there is a sure fire sign its going to come back fast too.
