23.01.2022 Dear Representative Coaches, Please be advised that registrations for 2021 17U & 19U State Teams and Emerging Talent Program trials are currently open, and will close next Friday 2 October.... The targeted age for the 17U State Team is 16 or 17 in 2021, and for 19U State Team is 18 or 19 in 2021. Athletes must reside in NSW. 17U and 19U State Team Trials are also the primary selection point for athletes into Emerging Talent Programs. 17U Trials will be held across 4 venues. Athletes can only trial at 1 venue in the region that is closest to where they reside. 19U Trials will be held in Sydney. The vision for the State Team Program is for Netball NSW to deliver a nation leading campaign program that commands commitment to Waratah pride. Athletes will be challenged and supported on and off the court to strive toward individual and team success at the National Netball Championships and beyond. In the Emerging Talent Program, Netball NSW will provide a series of inspiring, motivating and challenging programs that support athletes with confirmed talent to take the next step in Performance sport. Programs will focus on the holistic needs of each individual athlete and will maximise athlete readiness to progress on the NNSW Pathway. The Molly Croft Most Courageous Award is presented to a DNA member who has shown courage, bravery and resilience in the face of adversity. 05.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone, DNA regretfully advises that there will be no additional spectators allowed for the final's series. This follows advice from Netball NS...W today reaffirming spectator limits as per the Community Sports Guidelines. The guidelines state: "For local activities, limit spectators to one parent only, where the child requires parental supervision during the sporting activity. " DNA had commenced arrangements to allow 10 spectators per team, but today's memo has meant that this cannot happen. As a result, court numbers for finals are as follows: Up to 12 registered members of the team (players) + Coach and Manager Only. You cannot substitute spectators for players if you have less than 12 players. This ensures fairness for all parents and spectators. Timekeepers, scorers and umpires will be supplied by DNA. All other spectators must be behind the boundary fences or barriers. Please advise all of your teams who are participating in finals this weekend. Please ensure all parents are aware of these arrangements and follow the DNA Covid-19 Safety Plan. Covid Safety Officers are expected to continue moving around the courts during all timeslots unless directed by the executive to supervise a game. Should you feel there is a need for an exemption, it must be received in writing by 5pm Friday 11/9/20. All exemption requests are to be sent to [email protected] Netball NSW and Dubbo Netball Association understand this has been a difficult and trying year. Throughout 2020 we have had to adjust to events and celebrations we have looked forward to in the past being cancelled or done differently than in years gone by.
