18.01.2022 What’s in a moment........ I want them to know that I pursue them There is a purpose in their pain I’ve seen them I’ve called them by name... They are my beloved, beloved children I have a plan and a purpose for them Oh how I love them Jesus For over 3 decades, I’ve found myself walking on campsites all over this country, praying and seeing the love and hope of Jesus collide into these kids, teens and leaders lives and change their eternal destiny forever! Over the years I’ve become so passionate about creating a home away from home for them. These interventions of eternal destinies as I call them in my own private prayer time and reflections. Are not just another camp. Over the years I’ve seen people put on amazing programs full of stuff, which is very lovely but it’s always been about hearing that still small voice for me. What does God want to do and say and remind these kids/youth of. I think about these kids a lot, pretty much everyday and night. I think about their brokenness, how lost, alone and scared they must feel so much of the time. I pray for them and over them in the wee hours of the morning. I think about how God hears their tiny voices, he hears them loud and clear and he sends them to these camps, to be loved on, to be heard to be healed. He pursues them year after year, decade after decade. It’s doesn’t depend on us, it’s all about him. It’s definitely not a popular ministry, no lights and no glamour. As the years go by it feels like less and less people have time for a ministry like this. I don’t believe it’s just for the times of our youth or that it’s something you outgrow. I think it’s hard and it demands all of you a week of your hard earned annual leave, your energy and your precious time. But even more than that, it engages you with brokenness and a kind of brokenness that maybe we don’t want to acknowledge exists here in our precious Australia on our watch. The older I get the less I see people around me who want to engage. And maybe I don’t even blame them, it is hard, it absolutely costs and it often hurts. But as for me and my house and entrustment that is Inspiring Hope we will serve the Lord. ||ending in comments
