25.01.2022 Our very own Grand Master in an international appearance.

25.01.2022 Near miss! Fantastic.

25.01.2022 Our friend Nhan Hoang from ITDF in Melbourne. What an amazing demonstration of the art of Taekwon Do.

25.01.2022 Hello all Chris here. Well lockdown is starting, for those who need a bit of sanity and an activity with the kids. Try Pot Luck Patterns write the patterns you (they) know on a bit of Lego each. Pop them in a bag and set up a circuit for the kids. Some burpees, jumps, skipping and a pot luck pattern from the bag. 20+ minutes of peace and quiet and tired kids. Or adults in my case. Probably works best for green belts and up! I am talking with the Grand Master about proper online courses but in the meantime Ill try to post a few ideas for fun activities.

24.01.2022 Chris here. When Im not doing taekwon do I like to play bass guitar. Sometimes my two hobbies are mutually exclusive

24.01.2022 Yay. Go Australia. Go Melissa.

22.01.2022 Honored to have guests Pascale Zandbergen from Holland and Pat Mcqueen from Low Taekwon-do train with us last night at Inspirit home Dojang. Pat and I had the great opportunity to train with the Dutch team under Master Marco Zanderbergen after the world championships last month and had a lot of fun. It was our pleasure to host both Pascale and Pat here at Inspirit in our Tul class. These exchanges highlights the bonds that can be created through art form of Taekwondo bringing a sense of connection, family and the cultivation of the warrior mind body and spirit. Big thanks to all involved. Gm Linda, Master Marco, Jimmy Hendriks

22.01.2022 Some pretty cool video from the Worlds.

21.01.2022 Post for Inspirit TKD members!!! Saturday's sparring - strategies and conditioning class will recommence again on 26th January 11:30 - 13:00. Look forward to seeing all you upcoming warriors there.

21.01.2022 Alarm- quiz night. This is not a drill! Tomorrow 1800 at the dojang. The lovely Matt from Helena Valley Fresh has donated first prize, and it will be good. Extra special Halloween Round so mug up on your spooky trivia.

21.01.2022 Dear Inspirit family. As I am sure you are aware by now, we are moving into a phase of greater social distancing which includes the closure of all gyms. All classes are now suspended until further notice. The Grand Master is making arrangements to grade people remotely by video and also to make some classes available online. We will update by Facebook and stay in touch via the page. The beauty of ITF Taekwon Do is that we have a system of 24 patterns that can be practised a...lone, from anywhere. These patterns keep us strong, flexible, and are a powerful form of meditation. As the mainstream media continues to feed our anxiety, let's all try to find some time to escape the cycle and to run through our patterns and to reconnect with our bodies and minds. For many, Inspirit is a lot more than just a martial arts gym, please take care during this period and please reach out for help if needed. We must take care of each other in these difficult times. We look forward to coming together again and to training again very soon.

20.01.2022 Perth could learn from Plovdiv. Maybe we could make this work for the nationals in December.

20.01.2022 Congratulations Master Bradley

19.01.2022 Quiz night is coming up. Will the mighty Blair clan be victorious again or will an usurper wear the crown? Will Chriss jokes be any funnier this year? (Unlikely) but the only way to find out is to come along.

18.01.2022 Hi everyone. Just a reminder that Saturday 12th December is grading day and after the grading we will be holding the annual Christmas wind up and awards. Please come along to the dojang and bring a plate or a drink to enjoy as we say goodbye to 2020.

17.01.2022 For those grading to black belt soon this is the standard now expected. Good luck

17.01.2022 Chris here. When I’m not doing taekwon do I like to play bass guitar. Sometimes my two hobbies are mutually exclusive

16.01.2022 Father, daughter and son. Black, red and green. Inspirit is a true family, Taekwon Do is one of the best ways to get fit and learn a new skill with your kids. The bond forged through learning together is strong.

16.01.2022 In case you were wondering where the Grand Master is... Montreal!

15.01.2022 Congratulations to all competitors at the Inspirit Invitationals yesterday. Thank you to Grand Master Linda Low and the organising committee and a special shout out to our friends at Platinum Taekwon-Do (you are all awesome) and our volunteers who worked hard to keep us fed.

14.01.2022 Some very entertaining sparring here.

12.01.2022 Hi Everyone. The COVID rules have been confirmed and this Saturday's training is on. Kids' class at 0900 is on. Adults will be split into 1000 and 1100 classes to try to keep to 4m squared per person. And yes, you have to WEAR a MASK if you're under 12. Come on, who hasn't wanted to train whilst pretending to be Darth Vader? Now is your chance. On a serious note, the Grand Master will be ensuring that rules are followed, distancing is maintained and we all train safely. Any questions please message through the page or drop GM Low a message.

12.01.2022 A message from Grand Master Linda: From today WA has relaxed the laws to allow indoor exercise groups of up to 20. We will be starting training sessions again with Saturday classes at 0900 and 1000. We have a Covid-Safe Plan as follows: - Non Contact sessions to focus on patterns, fitness and technique (minimal shared equipment). ... - Careful disinfection of the Dojang before and after use. - Class sizes of 16 maximum to allow for plenty of space. Fortunately we have the mats to provide a helpful guide as each mat is 1m sq. - Register of attendees for each class. Please do not train if you are sick or have been in contact with someone who is sick. It has been a while since most people trained. It would be lovely to have everyone back and training again. Please do get in touch directly with the Grand Master or here through the page if you plan to train again and havent been in touch already.

05.01.2022 Esto es Taekwondo ITF!!! #TaekwondoITFesPasión

05.01.2022 Po Eun. One of the hardest 1st dan black belt patterns to get right. Very difficult to master but very satisfying to perform. These chaps show that TKD can be about teamwork as much as any other sport.

05.01.2022 Hi Everyone and Happy New Year. Training starts again this Saturday 18th January- 1000 class only. Just confirming other sessions with GM Low now and will update shortly.

04.01.2022 Hey everyone. So the quiz night is this Saturday at 1800 at the Dojang. Advertising has been ordinary at best. Apologies! Wed love to have as many as possible so please please come along if youre free. Great prizes. Lots of fun and games, questions. All ages from 5 to 105+. $20 per person or $50 for a family. Make up a table of 6-10 people or come along and well match you with a suitable team.

04.01.2022 Good effort to everyone who made it to the first training session of the year today. Too much Christmas pud has made the doboks tighter and the weather was far from kind. However, we pushed through it for a proper TKD start to the year. Training on Saturdays and Thursdays only through January. No patterns class on Mondays until Feb.

04.01.2022 For the record, this is not how to do knife defence.

03.01.2022 Update from the Grand Master. We will continue to monitor the situation but classes remain on for now. We will keep body contact as minimum as possible, use target paddles, bags and large pads rather than mitts, sanitise these after each use, use paper towels, hand sanitiser sprays, open windows, disinfect the mats. Anyone with flu-like symptoms - though we love you like family - please take the advice of the health authorities and keep away till you are well. We will watch ...media updates for information but will keep training and our club running unless instructed otherwise. Take lots of vitamin C, fruit, veg, and stay healthy and happy. The fitter and less stressed we are the more chance our immune systems have to fight any nasties, Grand Master Linda Low

02.01.2022 Having all the beautiful techniques in the world is like having all the best channels on TV but no remote to control the selection. ... Our remote is our decision making process based on distance, timing, rhythm, the game state, adaptability etc. etc. It’s not about the combinations and fancy techniques (TV channels) but having the better remote control which defines thegreatest fighters! The skills which allow shots like this to happen are much more valuable than the technique itself! Train Skills not Frills! See more
