There are so many different ways to stretch your hamstrings so we thought we'd share a couple more with you. 1st - Kat is showing us how to use the reformer to help stretch out. Put one leg up on the reformer and slide back to stretch the hamstring of the leg on the floor. Another large muscle group which has so many ways to stretch so we thought we'd show you some more! . 1st - Using the reformer machine Kat has one leg stationary on the ground with the other leg up on the slider slowly stretching the leg out. Leaning forward to support herself. Don't forget to swap sides! . 2nd - Is the classic butterfly stretch. Simply sit on the floor and bring your feet together. Try to get your k...nees down to the ground if you can. . 3rd - Using the reformer is another take on the butterfly stretch. Kat is using the pulley's to bring her feet together. 11.01.2022 INTRODUCING DR VALENTINE WANGUI Born and raised in Kenya, Dr Valentine dreamt of being a doctor, with an approach to healthcare that is very holistic and being able to understand how the body heals and regulates itself. Chance had it that on a visit to Australia, her mother visited a chiropractor who explained the ins and outs of chiropractic. Armed with information from the university as well as her own research, her mother returned to Kenya and explained Chiropractic to... her daughter. Having found an area in healthcare that fit with her philosophy on health, Dr Valentine took the plunge and came to Australia in 2010 to pursue her chiropractic studies at RMIT university in Melbourne. Apart from her studies at university, Dr Valentine has further training in functional neurology, which has enabled her to have a more in-depth understanding of the working of the nervous system as well as achieve better patient outcomes. Start in a star shape and put weight onto one side in a side lunge position stretching the straight leg. Remember to keep your chest up straight and don't bend forward with your hips. 2nd - Kat is demonstrating an adductor stretch for both legs at the same time. To do this one on the reformer you need to keep one leg still placing the other foot on the sliding section and slide... out until you feel a stretch. As with our first stretch remember to keep your chest up and hips tucked under. 3rd - Dr Bec showing us a frog stretch. Start by kneeling on the ground with a wide stance and bend forward into a flat position using your forearms to support yourself.
