We extend our deepest sympathies to anyone affected by these catastrophic fires as well as admiration for everyone who has been working tirelessly to battle the bushfires and the countless volunteers supporting them. Our partner, QBE Insurance, recently announced an additional $400,000 donation to suppor...t bushfire relief and recovery efforts, including $100,000 to support Save the Children’s work in establishing Child Friendly Spaces in evacuation and recovery centres for children affected by bushfire. 14.01.2022 Are you adequately insured? Many Australians find themselves underinsured, which means they don’t have enough insurance if something was to go wrong. Have you considered how much it would cost to rebuild, repair or replace everything you own? Things to consider:... Costs vary over time, so review your sum insured every year. Re-evaluate your sum insured when you renovate or make new purchases. The cost of rebuilding your home isn’t the same as its real estate value. We can work with you to find the right cover for you. Contact Elders Insurance Glen Innes on 0267397310 to book a free policy review.

06.01.2022 If you live in an area that is prone to bushfire, severe storms or cyclones taking the appropriate steps to prepare for extreme weather events is critical. Much of the essential preparation starts outside your home, but have you thought about how to prepare for an insurance claim? There are a number of proactive steps you can take to help prepare: 1. Know your insurance policy. Now is the time to review your policy specifics and your sum insured for adequate cover.... 2. Take photos of your property and contents. Capture both the inside and outside of your home, fixtures and fittings as well as your belongings. 3. Collate digital copies of important documents, such as passports and marriage certificates, also significant receipts. 4. Save all items to a Cloud-based service, that way you can access all the information easily if you need to evacuate. It can be overwhelming and very difficult to itemise what has been lost after an extreme event, so taking the time to get organised can help to reduce the stress and speed up the claims process. If you need help with your insurance call Elders Insurance Glen Innes today on 02 67397310. We are here to help.
